I had a dream
I got everything I wanted
Not what you'd think
And if I'm being honest
It might've been a nightmare

diving deeper -
one of 4 siblings, born six minutes before her twin sister gia. they had a nice, comfortable childhood with lots of love and connection to each other, hallie was always closest to gia and she's still basically her best friend
hallie loved school, she got into writing and investigating things from listening to true crime stories, watching interviews, and paranormal podcasts.
from a young age they started writing about gossip, random secrets heard around town, and eventually for the school newspaper. they became known, especially at home for being very nosey
after high school, they got into one of their top pick schools, TSU, on a partial scholarship. they stayed in the dorms for the first year and then they went to live with their sister gia who was in town pursuing music
since graduating college, hallie got a job at the local media office and was tasked with writing about musicians and the music scene in nashville - she still looks into stories and tips in her free time and has a blog that goes over recent conspiracies, happenings, and anything else she finds interesting enough to write about.
Tea. Glorious iced black tea with enough sugar to give you a cavity just by holding it. It was late morning but they were on the way to the grocery store and for that, a serious motivation booster was needed. The week had been a long one and Sunday meant the grocery store was bound to be packed. "Hey aren't you the guy always hanging around my sister?" It was more of a joke than anything, they already knew who Hayes was but Hallie had a weird sense of humor and playing dumb got her more information sometimes. Probably not in this case, but it was funny nonetheless. "Just playin', man. I know who you are. How's it hanging this fine Sunday morning, Mr. Hayes?" They asked him with bright, but somewhat sleepy smile. That tea couldn't come soon enough, why was there such a long line?
Hallie pushed her way through the door of their apartment, juggling reusable grocery bags with a huff. She closed the door behind her with a kick of her foot and went straight to the kitchen. "Gia? You here?" She called out, setting the bags on the counter. First things first, they needed to get the strawberries they bought into be washed so they could give their pet turtle a snack. "I bought some stuff at the store, check this out," Hallie held up a container. "Everything seasoning hummus, I'm so heckin' psyched to try that out and I got some strawberries to feed Taco. That should be entertaining." Watching her box turtle eat anything was the cutest thing ever. His little mouth chomping down on fruit and with strawberries it got all red and looked like he murdered something. "Hey I saw that dude you hang out with a lot, um, Hayes? Didn't he go on tour with you or something?" She already knew the answer but getting her sister to confirm it would give her the room to transition into more questions, that would quench her curiosity on the matter.

where: music city street fair → near the hottest chicken competition
status: open
"fuck, yeah i can't do that." callum let out a breathy laugh, blinking back tears as he taste tested one of the signature flaming hot wings. he still swore going to college in new york screwed with his tastebuds. he would've taken this stuff like a champ when he was eighteen. callum wiped his hands with a napkin before promptly taking a step back and shaking his head at the competition's judge. he'd only entered on a dare and counted himself out after his very first bite— there went fifty bucks.
"hey, you got any water or something?" callum's mouth hung open as he huffed out quick, short breaths in attempt to cool off his tongue.
Hot chicken was one of Hallie's guilty pleasures. That and hot wings but that was different ball game altogether. They went over to the competition area so they could try some of the best of the best, but ended up trying one piece and watching the rest of the crowd suffer. A lot of them were tourists, you could tell just by what they were wearing and how surprised they were at how hot everything was. The one that came up to her for water didn't look like he was from out of town, though and she gave him a tight lipped smile. "Um, I have this sweet tea?" Hallie held out the half full beverage if he wanted it. "Usually lemonade works better. Also, I can't promise I don't have a communicable disease." She deadpanned and looked at him for a moment with squinted eyes trying to figure out why he looked familiar. "Aren't you one of the Deve-somethings? I thought you guys were from here."
