Preparing for a Halloween party with your S/O

You finished setting down the last of the trays of food, hearing a soft clacking of the festive, hard plastic tray against the foldable table. There was a sigh that came from your chest, relieved that there were no more trips back and forth between the kitchen and the living room. Lights had been stung all throughout the house, and everywhere you looked a spider or ghost or other type of ghoul would be lurking around the corner.

You walked to the kitchen, wrapping your arms around your significant other and hugging them tightly from behind. The smell in the kitchen was delightful. Your partner always made such amazing food.

"Thank you for cooking everything today, my love" you said softly, pressing a kiss to the side of their head.

"I'm just glad I didn't have to decorate" they joked, turning around and wrapping their own arms around you. "This is going to be such a fun party."

They leaned in, pressing a loving kiss to your lips. "Happy Halloween" you mumbled against the kiss, smiling softly as your partner's face paint smudged along with your own.
