time to get on my high horse for a sec. People in this community---and in the world at large---absolutely MUST unlearn the idea that pregnancy is inherently something that is done to someone.

Obviously this is a part of the fun for some people, and there's nothing wrong with that, but it's pretty clear that a lot of people have this idea of pregnancy as a transitive action completely ingrained in their minds. This frames pregnancy as an intrinsic act of power, something that one party inflicts over another. I see this constantly. And I do mean constantly.

This is a reflection of millenia of sexism, under which women (and those forced to live as women) are pushed into the role of passive victim and men (and those forced to live as men) are pushed into the role of active perpetrator. And it's just... not true. Pregnancy is in fact something that's mostly done by one person and that's the pregnant one. It is an active thing---that a carrier does. Completely solo, sometimes, if they use nonstandard fertilization methods.

Which is to say: 1. By all means go ahead and keep using pregnancy in your power dynamic fantasy, but do it with the conscious awareness that this is fantasy. And 2. please make more hot shit about people getting pregnant as a power play im begging you pleeeeeeeaseeee

Was talking about this with a friend recently. IMO it would be better if it was either more attainable (e.g. feedism) or completely impossible (e.g. vore).

Because, you know, you COULD get pregnant. It would be an absolutely horrible, immoral idea to do it primarily for kink reasons, but it is possible. And what if it's a miserable experience? What if it destroys your health, temporarily or permanently? What if you can't conceive at all? What if it ends badly? What if you barely even show? What if you hate being a parent, whether you keep the baby or not? What if the whole experience ruins the kink for you but the desire is still there?

But you COULD do it. What if it's everything you dreamed of? It's there, dangling just out of reach. You could reach out and grab it. You mustn't. But you could. Like some ironically designed torment.

actually I have a good quick n dirty method if anyone is curious:

step one: base color

step two: use any random-ass textured brush to slap a blush on there in a darker, redder color. fudge it around till it looks balanced n texture-y.

step three: use your lineart brush or a... less textured brush to carve out a "highlight" of your base color out of the blush. like so

step four: add some extra skin texture (linea nigra, stretch marks, etc) with hatching

anyway thats what I do! if I ever render something please know that 80% of it was slapping random brushes on there to see what happens. i have a very efficient workflow as you can see

addendum: for very dark skin tones, a more orange-y, slightly lighter blush works better, plus a highlight in an actually lighter tone. now please ignore that i rendered this one way more than the other ones by accident.

Even going overdue by a few days has dire consequences since the baby is progressing a month per day. AND the labour takes the same amount of time as a normal pregnancy, the baby continuing to grow as long as its inside you, so its a race against time to get the baby out before it wrecks your body.

If it were a realistic possibility I would actually look forward to the challenge of giving birth. I feel like I’d be seen as crazy but it’s such a unique and beautiful and horrible experience which is appealing even if I know it’s going to send me to a state where I’m begging for it to stop.
