Headcanon that for their first family vacation, Donna takes Cameron and the girls on a surprise two-week trip to beautiful Hawai'i, during which Cameron tries really hard to be a good sport, but she's miserable and also sunburned for a lot of it

Things turn around when Donna asks the concierge where the nearest bookstore is, and Cameron, who only brought one book with her, is able to get three new science fiction novels

She spends several days happily reading on their hotel room balcony while Donna, Joanie, and Haley go exploring, and take surfing and snorkeling lessons

Cameron eventually emerges from their room to go hiking with everyone else, and she goes to Donna's last surfing lesson, where she finds that, unsurprisingly, Donna is a natural. She takes as many photos and some camcorder videos, while the girls cheer Donna on.
