All the artists worked very hard to make this anthology, so this kind of activity is deeply painful.

Sometimes it can be hard to buy a copy of the book from overseas, I understand this very well.

Please do not use this as an excuse to pirate our hard work, or anyone else’s. If you are confused by how to buy it and need help, please send me a message—I can help you purchase a copy!

Originally, we had thought to print an English version, but a lack of demand made this not feasible. I’d still be happy to translate anything for English speakers who purchase the book.

We are thrilled that people are interested in reading our work!

We went back to look at the post about scanning and re-uploading our work. We were deeply touched to see that many people were leaving supportive and kind responses, and no further word about pirating our book. We hope this message reaches those who supported us, it means so much and we want you to know how grateful we are for your kindness!

We were sad to see people’s disappointment about us selling the book at the event only—we really wanted to make this book accessible for people since we know it’s so hard to order from overseas. This is why we had originally hoped to run an English print in the first place (though unfortunately there wasn’t enough demand to make the offset printing possible!)

We are thinking to continue with our original plan to sell online after all. We’re looking into using Alice-books which is much more convenient for people outside of Japan. For English speakers who are having trouble, please contact me (@jia_ni_ on Twitter) and I’ll do everything in my ability to help you out!

To those who may have thought to scan and reprint our work— Thank you for understanding the feelings that went into making this book. We hope that maybe you have changed your mind because you didn’t post after our message, though we have no way of knowing for certain. We understand that you see things a different way than us.
