" Don't you have dreams? Why do you have to take away hers? "
âOh, my dear, marriage is a relationship of give and take! Youâll understand once you find a gentleman to take care of you.â

Slender, nimble fingers drummed rhythmically against the tea table, bright green eyes flicking curiously over the stranger. Tarrant could be very observant when he applied himself. The man standing across from him was dressed very smartly, he had to admit. The fabrics were of very fine quality, though the craftmanship was dull and completely ordinary. Ordinary, he thought, was the lowest of insults he could think of. Heâd never say so, of courseâ it was very rude to make personal remarks. Almost as rude as not sitting down when one was invited to tea. âWell, wonât you take a seat? I donât suppose you take your tea standing upright like that.â
Hamishâs lip curled, but settled at his attempt at staying poise. The man on the other end of the tableâs address to him was difficult to scoff at. Of course, anyone who had such an... unpleasent... no, ghastly was the only way to describe it, outward appearance was sure to be work.Â
âWell, Iâll take that as your introduction, sir. My name is Lord Ascot. And I have learned better than to drink tea from strangers.â

Frowning, Alice watched how he groaned at a worrisome thought, then positioned himself next to her and let his hand hover over hers. When he retreated his hand, Alice frowned so deeply, a line formed between her brows until he spoke again.
Pressing her eyes closed, Alice was silent for a moment, letting his ridiculousness sink in. Because it was ridiculous, it was the most ridiculous thing she ever heard. Worry made place for anger, as she was quite about to loose her temper.
âBest for whom?â Her words were slow so there would be no room for misinterpretation.  âYouâŚâ Alice clenched her jaws together, counting to 5 before she continued. âYou would really do this only because of your Motherâs wishes?â
Alice huffed and shook her head. âWhat about your wishes? What about mine?â
His mouth gaped, trying to find develop an answer, but there came none. The anger and frustration she had pent up and building sent tension into his shoulders. A rush of panic went to his head until she calmed. His shoulders didnât leave his ears, though.Â
âM-my wishes?â His life was set out before him, why would he need to do such a task as wishing? Alice was a dreamer, he knew, but he assumed her fantasies were of impossible things like flying, or the confidence of denying oneâs mother grandchildren. âMy- My, Alice, I donât...âÂ
He had no wishes.
However, she did. And she was his, by recent circumstance. So wouldnât it make sense that her wishes were his wishes? Their wishes? He frowned. That wasnât in the list of things he had prepared to share with Alice. Most things that were considered âtheirâsâ now, he admitted to still wanting to refer to as âhisâ. But if Alice had something he didnât, then sharing did sound advantageous.
âAlice, our wishes will come soon enough. And wouldnât you believe it only fair to help someone elseâs wishes be granted before your own?â And ah, what a fantastic idea he had. âDidnât your father use to say that it was more important to do things for others than yourself? Hm?â
+ queen mirana
âOh, why did you not say so earlier?â Mirana glided over to him, taking his arm. âI will be delighted. What do you wish to see first?âÂ
âThough I do hear that the gardens are very lively in this world, I would very much like to see your throneroom. However I don't know Marmoreal as well as you do. Whatever Your Majesty believes to be her favorite would do nicely.â

Alice had to bite her bottom lip to keep from bursting into laughter. Even after all her planning, she could not have anticipated how much fun seeing Hamish like this - but she would not give that away.
âBe honest with yourself.â She mused her expression into a smirk again as she went over to the end of the bed and grabbed his ankle. âDoes not one thing of this excite you?â
So I saw ATTLG today and I walked in believing Hamishâs faces couldnât get better than the last movie.
I was wrong
Guys⌠I love this movie, please go see it.
