I work a lot and am relatively not as plugged in/online as most other people so sometimes I'm slow to respond to things, please be patient with me if you message me. I'm a firm believer in "I made this, but you can see it too" so I'm also slow to share certain projects I'm working on since I'm pleasing the hardest audience ever: myself. I Was Laid Off.

I’m dealing with crippling debt, caring for my family, my pets of which one has on asthma and is on medications, dealing with bills from my own ongoing medical care & medications, and my mental health is hanging by a shoe string. I had plans for psychiatric care this year with the hopes it would potentially lead to gender affirming care, but this is now on hold as this layoff has upended my entire life.

The severance pay from my job + my savings will barely cover two months of bills, this doesn't take into account any unpredictable factors that might happen within that span of time. I'm also applying for state help, but am uncertain how much it will turn out to be. Finding work will be more difficult than it has ever been thanks to a variety of factors, such as the implementation of AI models screening job applications/holding interviews, and finding something within an adequate timeframe is uncertain.
