weird things I’ve started doing since owning a hamster:

1. subconsciously measuring every bin/tank I see and wondering if it would suit a hamster

2. being excited to end a toilet paper roll so that I could use the cardboard

3. sifting through my recycling for usable hideouts

4. daydreaming about different configurations for my hamster’s enclosure

5. looking to my hamster’s enclosure every time I think I hear a noise
