This just a problem on an ipad, him having his mothers iphone holds a greater risk as phone, and messages are also unrestricted despite the fact ahram may not know how to exactly have full control over he phone. This is a problem many parents can agree they face, hence my solution comes into play Mia' my intelligent app" is the breakthrough operating system designed for kids, locking out all access to important info stored on phones, not only does it lock out, it has already simplified the os to have everything your child needs and wants

Here's some important information I found looking through TumblrĀ regarding colour. Taking into consideration the right colour for design work is just as important as typography and illustrations.Ā
What is typography?

Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language, readable, and appealing when displayed. typography is a crucial factor when it comes to all aspects of design.what the audience read is what i feel has just as much of an impact as solely visuals. People who use typography consist of graphic designers, art directors, graffiti artists and many more. the use of typography Ā is increasing due to the immediate demand in advertisements all around the world.

For the penguin brief, i wanted to keep it very simple and clear, out the 3 this has been my weakest project due to myelf prioirtising and focusing more on my personal and live proejects, on the other hand not to say i didnt enjoy creating the book cover, i did. the name of the book was in cold blood and was written by truman capete. the inivetablity of the title of the book lead me to design both front and back covers in the theme where blood was involved. not only was the blood taken into consideration but the style of font aswell.
Book cover research- The brief history of the deadĀ
The use of the black and white gives a visual pun to the title, and the use of a spooky image showing hands without a body would make the viewer question or be intrigued to know what the book is about.Ā
The bold, capital white letters in the title stand out and are smartly spaced to give a simple touch to the cover relating to the title which says ābriefā. In this case, colours arenāt necessarily needed to visually attract the viewerās attention but the inventiveness of the image.

The designer has chosen a background that naturally catches the eyes attention and keeps the viewer engaged, I like how that has been skilfully used using concentric rings. The contrast between the black and white make it visually appealing allowing it to catch the readerās attention instantly.Ā
The use of the concentric rings is to give a clue on what the book will be about; in this case itās about the characters ādespairā in the book. The cover is not given any vibrant colours and uses a dull green instead; this could be for the grown-up target audience. In my own cover, I will like to use designs that create illusions to the human eye to attract my audience.

The designer has used the colour yellow to relate to the theme āhappinessā but the meaning of the title is completely the opposite. I like the way the title is shaped as an upside down smiley giving away the message of what the book will be about. The simplicity of the cover is what attracts me the most, it leaves the reader in confusion persuading them to read the book.Ā
I would also like to use the shape of the title, this shows great amount of creativity. The yellow against the bold black writing allows it to stand out and the text being capitalised gives it that extra meaning. One thing I would change about this cover is perhaps make the text size slightly larger so it can be seen more easily. Ā

The purpose of this cover in comparison to the last two is to give a powerful message, the importance of the message is shown with the significance of the picture used to symbolise it. The clever use of the colour blue is typically used to show emotion which in this case shows that the theme of the book is quite upsetting.Ā
The font serif is used to target perhaps a more of a mature audience, but again this designer has used the white text against a dark background so it can catch the attention of the readers. The sizes of the letters in the title also play a role signifying how the words are quiet and canāt be heard.Ā
The womanās ears are underwater which means she canāt hear anything and the designer cleverly implemented this to show a powerful message. For my own covers, I will design illustrations that replicate photography.
book cover research- the hobbit
This book cover immediately stands out for me, the contrast of the colours; black, white and red are visually appealing and instantly grasp my attention. This author typically uses this same type of style on all of her books, this allows the reader to recognize the books straight away, the style of font used consistently is Serifā,
I dislike this as it shows a lack of creativeness and I would prefer to give my covers an exciting font so the reader doesnāt expect the same. Another factor I dislike on this cover is how some of the illustrations are black against an already dark background so the only thing I am able to see is the title and the authors name.Ā
This cover shows how important the use of colours can make a book cover stand out along with the font of the title as shown in the previous cover.
Book cover research - the iceburg
This book cover cleverly uses the font Ā and capitalisation of the letters to emphasise the impact of the iceberg along with the image of the iceberg, allowing the reader use their imagination. In relevance to my own project, I understand that only does the size of the letter catch the readerās attention but the font too. the first thig that stood out was the use of one simple illustration that has been oversized reflecting the type drastically
This cover may not be the most visually appealing however to the message it is giving out, is very powerful. The use of the white text against the green background allows contrast so the book cover stands out to its audience. One thing I dislike about this cover is that it doesnāt give much information about the book thus leading to a potential disregard from a consumer.Ā
TYPE RESEARCH SEB LESTER:
This is seb lester, upon researching on his specific style of type, i realised his work also related to the type on the packaging. I admire his work as it is very unique and has something that catches the audience instantaneously. At times it can be hard to interpret what his designs actually say, But that can be a good thing as it will have the reader looking, thinking and attempting to break it down, doing what it takes to have a clear interpretation.

Video production and DevelopmentĀ
I produced and edited the video clips on after effects, having used after effects before, i knew roughly what i was capable of whilst editing the clips and designs. during these projects, i ran out of time so i couldnt finish of the branding for the website so i stuck to investing that much extra time in my video, overall i am very happy and proud of the outcome, this was something ive always wanted to do, and is now a stepping stone to what ill produce for my major study. they all played a very important role in my learning journey.
