Hyunshik groaned under the weight of the bags as she dropped them into his arms. What the hell did she have in these things? Boulders? Blocks of gold? He rolled his eyes, trailing behind her. âSomehow I donât feel like thatâs true. Everyone knows who I am,â he bragged, his eyes drifting to her rear as she strode up the stairs. Confidence was always attractive in women, especially women who were already naturally gifted in the looks department. âSo, who exactly are you?â
Hana knew the boy was right. She did know who he was - well she thought she did. A socialite lived for the media, and the media lived for idols. âYouâre like, the pretty guy from that group.â She began, not turning back to address him. Once they reached the end of stairs, Hana stopped, crossing her arms vainly and flicking her hair. âHana Choi. My dad owns Zeus Hotels, you know, the multi-billion international chain?â She giggled before sighing in content âIâm so rich.âÂ

Sitting in the second floor common area, Jiho hummed as she strummed a couple chords on her guitar. She was already working on an acoustic cover of their upcoming title track, and it was putting her in a good mood despite the sudden wave of new male roommates.
Looking left and right, she observed how she was alone, and thatâs when she decided it would be all right for her to even sing a few of the verses. No one was going to be around anyway, right? So it wasnât as if she was going to be spoiling the comeback for anyone. With that in mind, she sang a few lines before closing her eyes.
Hanaâs day hadnât been the best. After spending the morning unpacking her seemingly endless number of bags, with nobody offering to help, she was exhausted and honestly - slightly lonely. She was still new to the house, and since no one offered her a tour she decided to see the estate for herself, wandering up the stairs to the second floor. Having spent her entire life in various hotel rooms, a house was a refreshing change for the girl and she felt her spirits rise while exploring the various rooms and areas of the building.
As she was walking, Hana heard the melodic song a familiar voice, and the soft strums of a guitar. She couldn't quite pinpoint whoâs voice it was exactly - certainly not anyone sheâs met in the house so far. The blonde followed the sound into the common area where she discovered whom she presumed to be one of the roommates, sat singing and playing the guitar. The girl was undeniably cute, and Hana watched silently for a brief moment before lugubriously coughing - making the other aware of her presence. âI donât really even like music, but you were pretty good. I wish I knew how to play.â She grinned.Â
With a soft sigh, Minki, slight reluctance in her movements, picked up the other pile of suitcases the female and brought with her. Damn this Hana girl if she fell down the stairs carrying them. âYouâre basement levelâ so this way.â She nodded her head past the up staircase over to the one leading down, taking tentative steps so as not to trip down. Looking back slightly over her shoulder, Minki shook her head at the question. âI got here in the last batch of roommates before your group.â
âThatâs like, totally ages though!â Hana chirped through the pile of bags she was carrying. Watching her step as she followed the other down the stairs, Hana tensed as she imagined falling and crushing the girl in front of her, or worse - breaking a nail.  âIf youâre in the batch before me that means our rooms are next to each other right?â Her pitch got higher in excitement, âthis means you can totally help me with things like, all the time!âÂ
bailey wasnât expecting this to be at the door, overwhelmed by the ego of the other he found himself simply obliging to her words. he smiled at the other, taking her suitcases. âah- hana.â he nodded, obviously he didnât know who the hell this was. but she seemed so invested in everything she was doing, and herself, that bailey couldnât bring himself to try and protest. âi-iâm jong jinseong- but you can call me bailey. but you probably kn- oh who am i kidding, you didnât know that.â he sheepishly grinned, carrying her bags into the house.
Hana cocked her head slightly and smiled at the boy. She scanned him up and down, despite not seeing much of him through the mess of bags piled in his arms, analysing what she could of him a in a matter of seconds before admiring her perfect nail beds. Still staring at her dainty fingers, she chirped, âBailey, hm, that name sounds totally familiar.â Her eyes flicked up to meet his and narrowed. âWait. Did we fool around at Boraâs birthday party?!âÂ
It wasnât intimidating that she was basically the same height as him. Not at all. He met her eyes as she stepped closer, raising an eyebrow as she checked him out. He couldnât tell if he had really, really bad feelings about this woman, or really, really good ones. He didnât even know her name. Hyunshik smirked, holding his arms out, offering to take the bags from her. As funny as it would have been to watch her try and get up the stairs wearing those heels and carrying those bags, he wouldnât be held responsible when she took a tumble back down the stairs. âThat I can do. Or I could just show you to my room, since Iâm so hot.â
Hanaâs lips spread into a sweet yet alluring smile, and she handed over some of the larger bags to the boy. Despite having just met him, he seemed familiar somehow and she felt a slight tinge of familiarity in his smirk - she wouldn't forget a face like that. âYour room huh?â Hana exhaled. âI donât even know who you are.â With a flick of her hair, she began striding confidently up the stairs; 5-inch heels were nothing. Playing hard to get wasn't usually her thing, but this was one of the rare times a boy didnât show immediate interest in her - she wouldn't make things too easy for him.
Soyoung was making her lunch when suddenly she heard some noise from outside. Other new roommate? Jesus. She decided to make her way to the door to see who it was, unfortunately she didnât really recognize who it was. Soyoung thought that, by the way she was acting with the driver, the girl was someone that had her mind on the money and fame and only that.Â
ââSorry to inform you.. Hana, but Iâm not your.. help?ââ Soyoung was not good at expressing herself to others, at that moment she was feeling really bad and confused with the actions of the girl, she never saw anyone like her before and being bad to others was something Soyoung was not used to. Letting the suitcases on the ground next to the door, Soyoung took a deep breath before talking to the girl again.Â
ââIâm Soyoung, Oh Soyoung. Iâm new here as well, so I guess I have to welcome you anyways.ââ she murmured, analyzing the girl from head to toe. Yeah, too rich for this world, she thought. ââI guess I can help you with the suitcase anyways, but I canât support a lot of weight, so youâll have to help. Alright?ââ Soyoung said with a short smile, taking some suitcases from the ground.
Hana couldâve sworn the girl was a maid. Itâs true she looked young and far too pretty, but Hana was told this show was for famous celebrities and people with status - this girl looked like neither. âAh, good thing youâre not a maid because youâre like super cute!â She crinkled her nose and narrowed her eyes at the girl with a grin, scanning the evident potential of the woman in front of her.Â
Hana leaned over and picked up the rest of the suitcases on the ground, balancing the pile in her arms. With her 6-inch heels she towered over Soyoung, and wondered if the girl would be crushed under the weight of her bags. âSo you know where my room is? Room 22?âÂ
âIââ She titled her head a little, how was she supposed to respond to that? Some part felt like a compliment, but then it didnât at the same time and really, Minki wasnât sure what to make of it. âIâm getting my hair redone next week?â Her answer sounded more like a question, surprisingly to her, but honestly now she wasnât even sure to make of her except from the fact she must be extremely blunt.Â
Minki watched has the words sheâd previously said took affect of the female. She must be spoilt or something, probably one of those queen bee girls, it would fit her; she couldnât help but think as she watched her. Though cringing a little when she dropped the bag, she did her best to suppress the actions of covering her hears at her scream. God, she was going to be difficult to deal with. âAlrightâ um, if youâre.. over that? I can show you to your room then?â Her responded were all sorts of questions now, sheâd never encountered any one like this before. Who knew how sheâd cope in a house with them. âI can help with your bags.. kind of as well?â
Hanaâs face lit up. âYou can? Great!â She popped up carrying a brightly coloured pile of bags which she gestured towards the girl, before picking up a smaller pile herself. âLead away!â, she flicked her hair towards the stairs, presuming her room would probably be on the higher floor.Â
Before following the lead of the other up the stairs Hana quickly surveyed her surroundings; despite her overwhelming confidence in basically every situation, she felt slightly hesitated when thinking of her new life in the Roommate house. If what the girl said was true, then sheâd have to do everything on her own, an almost alien concept for someone who grew up with such a privileged life. âSo,â she began while fumbling with her bags, âYouâve been here a while, right?âÂ
He honestly couldnât believe he was actually watching this woman that he didnât know stand and cry in front of him, but he was in despair. He had no clue how to react to something so petty. âIâm pretty sure if they state something in the rules like that, they arenât joking around?â he frowned, rolling his eyes as she followed him. âWhat else am I supposed to do? Yeah, youâre hot, but Iâm hot too. If you want someone to be your slave, find someone ugly. I have better things to do with my time.â
While listening to what the boy had to say, Hanaâs tears and minor emotional breakdown came to a sudden halt. The disinterest he had towards her clarified that he wasnât going to gravel at her feet like the rest of the worldâs male population.  Her face devoid of expression, she stepped closer in front of of the boy and met his eyes with a piercing gaze. âMhm,â she began, quickly flickering her eyes down to quickly scan his body. âYou are hot too.â Hanaâs lips spread into a sultry smile. âBut Iâm hotter.â
After exhaling, she turned back and managed to balance her bags on her arms, wincing slightly from the weight. âAt least show me where room 22 is.â
Hyunshikâs eyes widened at her reaction. Was this girl for real? Was she actually crying over there not being a butler? âDid you not know when you signed up for this show that the whole point was to be independent?â he asked in disbelief. âThis is getting really weird so, uh, Iâm gonna go back out there and leave you to it,â he said hesitantly, backing slowly away from her.Â
Hana was still in shock over what sheâd just heard, and now this. She glimpsed through the blurry window of tears at the arrogant-looking boy that seemed to just be stood there. She was confused as to why he hadn't fallen in love with her yet. âI mean, yeah, but I didn't think they were like serious.â Carefully placing the bags on the floor, she composed herself, smoothing out the creases in her pink miniskirt. What the boy said next left her even more confused. âYouâre just... leaving me here?!â With complete disregard to her bags she followed him, brows furrowed and hands on her hips. âBut Iâm so undeniably hot? Like, look at me. I mean Iâm just so hot. Itâs not vain, its just a fact.âÂ
Rsgxminki:
Minki shook her head slowly at the other, as if that would help it get into her head she wasnât a maid or whoever she thought she could be. Did she look like a maid? Damn. That was probably an insult to herself. âNo, Iâm a roommate. Someone that lives here with you.âÂ
Watching the other female with her suitcases was slightly amusing, but Minki couldnât help the tinge of guilt in her chest that should at least help with something. Even with the tiredness, why did her semi-caring side have to pull through all the time. With a yawn stifled through her hand, she shook her head once again. âSelf-catering. No maids. No staff. No nothing. Everythingâs done alone here. Everyone does their part, and please, no ones too pretty to clean.â She sighed at that, but then quickly realized she hadnât introduced herself so with a respectful bow, âIâm Minki by the way, Song Minki. And if you tell me what room number you are I can at least help you it.â
âOhhh. A roommate. Maybe youâd look more like one if you like, sorted out your hair and stuff. I mean youâre uber pretty but split ends are nobodys friend!â Hana shot her a smile, not meaning to offend although somehow most things she said often did. Her nanny always told her that her blunt personality was both her charm and the weakness.Â
Trying to shake the hair away from her face, she tilted her head while her jaw dropped in hearing what the girl in front of her had to say. Self-sufficient? For a spoilt heiress like herself the notion was too much to handle, and she dropped her bags on the floor before letting out a yelp. âOh my god - Those were GUCCI!â She knelt down and cradled the bags on the floor as if they were her newborn children. Hana took all efforts to compose herself, and stared up at Minki, before nodding her head as a lazy (and slightly traumatised) bow. âIâm in... room 23, I think.â She sniffled.Â
Hyunshik couldnât help but let out a snicker at her response. Cute as she was, he wasnât falling for her act. Heâd met plenty of women like her before; he knew their way of playing the game. Once again, he pushed the bags back to her, painting a smile on his face. âYou might want to find an actual butler before you throw that compliment around,â his lips twitched in amusement, âthereâs no help around the house. Thatâs the point. You do things for yourself. Iâm your roommate, not your staff.â
The blood rushed from Hanaâs face. âSo theres... no staff. At all?â Her lower lip began to quiver, and before she knew it her eyes began to brim with tears. It had been a hard enough week for Hana as it is: first the heel of her favourite Louboutins broke, then a homeless guy touched her on the street, and then she discovered a split end in her hair, and to top it all of - some boy turns out to not be a butler. She felt like things couldn't get worse. She was never the crying type (but she was always the spoilt type), and before she could stop, the girl was fluttering her hands around her face and praying her tears wouldn't smudge her perfectly applied mascara.Â
Minki had only gotten back from her schedules maybe ten minutes ago, and her plan, not that house was relatively quiet was to make some coffee and go marathon a drama in the living room until she was half asleep. It was a usual routine sheâd have followed at her dorm so no way was she stopping it here - and she had a lot of dramas to catch up on after her time spend locked out from any form of entertainment of TV in a damn hospital room.Â
Call her grouchy, but when she heard the knock of the door she groaned loudly, kettle in hand. Setting it down she lazily made her way over, because damn this better be good and if it was a new roommate they could find their own damn way around - of course her luck it was as she opened the door. Youâve got to be kidding me. She had to stop the words voiced in her head from being said out loud as she already figured out the personality of the girl before her, though she really had no clue who she was.Â
With a sarcastic laugh accompanied by a very much faked sweet smile, she pushed the suitcases back towards the girl who had pushed to her. âHelp? Please, there is no help hereâ only roommates, which I am, not help.â She emphasized her words before moving back from the door to let the girl come in more.Â
Hana looked the girl stood at the door up and down, quickly analysing from head to toe. Her brows furrowed. âYouâre....not the maid? Like, really?â She was told the show was meant to be for celebrities - rich famous people - which is the opposite of what Hana could say about the girl before her. She looked familiar, no doubt, however Hana was convinced that famous people could never look so... tired.
With bags in hand, Hana shuffled forward through the door, careful not to drop any of the surprisingly heavy suitcases. âSo like,â she began to say, while simultaneously balancing the bags and peeking at the woman beside her, âthereâs like... no maids and stuff? Then who does all the cleaning? I mean, I cant clean. Iâm too pretty to clean.âÂ
He couldnât say that he was expecting this woman when he opened the door. He had no clue what sort of people they invited into this house, but if his own personality was anything to go by, he was in for a shock. He furrowed his brows and she pushed her suitcases at him, and he wrinkled his nose as he pushed them back. âEven if I did know who you were, I wouldnât be helping you with your bags. Do it yourself, Barbie,â he narrowed his eyes at the blonde. It was like looking at the female version of himself; a glamorous, possibly prettier version. He could spot a fake smile from miles away.
Hana gasped. âYou think Iâm Barbie?â The blonde squealed and shot the boy a wink, a cute smile spreading through her face. âAwww, cutest. Butler. Ever.â The smile suddenly dropped from her lips, and her eyes locked on to his. âBut seriously - the bags.â Despite his undeniable good looks, Hana wasnt used to servants talking back to her. She pushed the bags back, pruning her lips at the unamused face of the boy in front.
âBut.. Where are all the cameras?â Hana peered out the window, glancing down the seemingly empty street. âI mean, they totally knew I was coming.â She scoffed slightly and crossed her arms, expressing her distaste in response to the ominous shrug given by her driver.
Dressed head to toe in what can only be described as âexpensiveâ, Hana gave rhythmic clap to signal the driver to open the door, shooting him a rehearsed smile as she stepped out onto the streets. âOh, and bring my bags too?â She strode towards the front door with her Chanel clutch in hand and cocked her head towards the entrance, gesturing the stumbling driver to knock.Â
The girl poised herself, plastering her signature smile on her face as the door creaked open. âHiii! Iâm Hana - new roommate, but you probably already knew. And you must be the help! Here-â She pushed forward a pile of bright pink suitcases towards the person stood at the door. âThanks. Youâre a total babe.âÂ
