For this assignment I chose a spiral as the spiral is seen in many natural objects such as a seashell, and even some plants. I used wood chips in order to create the shape, then lined the inside with flowers I found sprouting in the grass.

For this assignment I decided to draw a girl with a star as a head I named star girl. I wanted to mimic the lovely joyful vibe of all of Keith Haringās artwork, so I incorporated hearts and smiles.
For my final I decided to take inspiration from the lessons āpop artā and āformal elementsā. For pop art, I took insperatio from the bright colors usually used in pop art by incorporating a bright pink background. And for formal elements, I used a color combination called analogous color scheme, meaning that the colors I used align next to each other on the color wheel. I used a variety of pinks, reds, and oranges in my artwork which are all colors that are next to each other on the wheel.
This week I decided to use my stained glass lamp I order to create cool shadows on my wall!
I hoped that the lamp would reflect cool colors onto the wall, but unfortunately it only displayed white light.
For this weeks pop art assignment I used paint markers I order to create my piece. I couldnāt find magazines to use so instead I chose to draw my designs. For my reputation I used lollipops as my imagery and the phrase āwake upā as my repeated sentences
For my midterm I used procreate to create the image on the left. I used simple colors and shapes in order to create my artwork, and on the right I improvised and used some materials I had at home to mimic my sketch on the left. For my physical final piece I cut out shapes on a navy piece of paper and used a copious amount of glitter glue on top to make it super glittery. For the background I used a clear pink holographic film to wrap a pice of navel blue paper, then decorated it with stickers.
I enjoy traditional media more because Iām allowed to improvise using various materials that I have on hand, therefore I end up with a much most creative piece. When I work with digital media I become stumped and lost as to what I want to create.
This week I used the complimentary colors blue and orange for the background. I added some of my squiggly lines to add more dimension and detail to the pice and put my collages fashion woman on top!
The two artworks below inspired me because of the blend of bright colors that are incorporated in both artworks. I love the vivid colors and the composition!
For this weeks assignment I created a pice inspired by the album old data in a new machine. I experimented with the color red and using a dark background so the red pops. I chose to go slightly more abstract with this and I used magazine cut outs, colored pencil, and black paper. The album is very noisy and upbeat, and I wanted to create the same effect in my artwork.
Hi Iām Hana (the on the right!) and Iām a freshman Visual arts major with a minor in marketing. I love anything art related, reading, cats, listing to music, and being outdoors. Iām also a swimmer here for Bonaventure.
