“Bounded Duty” by Rupert Gregson-Williams and Lorne Balfe from The Crown Season 2
rupert gregson-williams’ wonder woman score is underappreciated
I can’t believe the same person who did the soundtrack for Wonder Woman did the soundtrack for the Bee Movie
How Wonder Woman’s theme music went from bombastic to smart
“ Far from being just another superhero film, Wonder Woman contains some of the most complex film music of any contemporary superhero. This video essay takes a look at how composer Rupert Gregson-Williams built on the powerful theme by Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL from Batman vs Superman, to give Wonder Woman musical depth. “

Forces of Attraction - The Theory of Everything
hey. I just found your blog through johann johannsson tag and I'm surprised to see more music score enthusiats. it's so sad about johann... one of my favorites. I was going to see him live in december. anyway, I don't really know anyone who listens to instrumental music, so if you want check out my playlists on spotify (links submitted) - I created, rearranged them to fit the perfect mood. I call it 'atmospheric night music'. but tonight we listen to JJ.
it makes me so happy to find a fellow movie score enthusiast!!!! i know ive been listening to johann ever since i found out. he was so brilliant. im sorry you’ll miss out on seeing him live. that wouldve been such an amazing experience!!! thank you so much for sharing your playlists. im always looking for new scores and from a quick glance it looks like there are a bunch on there that i havent heard yet!! im excited to give them a listen. thanks for reaching out <3

The cause of death is unknown.
Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson passed away in Berlin yesterday at the age of 48. The cause of death is not known at this time.
Jóhannsson’s work on The Theory of Everything and Sicario earned him Academy Award nominations for Best Original Score. His other notable scores include Arrival, Prisoners, and the upcoming Mandy. He also served as music and sound consultant on Mother.
In addition to his soundtrack work, Jóhannsson released a total of nine solo albums dating back to 2002.
im crying. so sad to lose such an amazing talent so early in his life. my thoughts are with his family and friends.
