The silence which slithers and settles into the atmosphere before a storm is the most peaceful one तूफ़ान से पहले की ख़ामोशी , even when its known that soon there's all gonna be destruction and death and yet I enjoy it as much as I can. For the past 13 years I have been mulling in this silence, relishing the feel of it because I know sooner or later its gonna slip through my fingers leaving them shaking because of the storm that has arrived.

My thoughts are broken by a loud thunder. I almost forget everything when i zone out, like how i have to get done with this assignment of mine before the end of the week. I sigh and look at the reflection of myself in the blury glass of the window which is partially open. From my loose bun to the curly tendrils kissing my chubby cheeks, I overall reach to a conclusion that I am not ugly. I have never been insecure of my looks however cannot say the same about my body. Since childhood I was always very skinny and often got teased for it but my childish mind never registered or saved any of the bullshit spewd towards me however, the same cannot be said about my teenage brain. As I turned 12 i started gaining all this weight and it really made me insecure especially it gets more difficult for me since i was very skinny before. I wouldn't say i am overweight not even by longshot but these are just childish insecurities that get stuck and doesn't let me love my body as I should.

Since childhood i have lived in a safe environment where everybody respected each other and also their decision but as they say there's always something to give you a reality check or should i say specifically someone in my case. I have always believed in true love beacuse my mom and dad had a happy marriage full of love and trust so in my teeny tiny brain it did not register that maybe the first boy who ever protected me will not always be my knight in shining armour, my saviour. and just because of that I am still suffering, as i said just waiting for that storm to arrive which will finally give me another reality check. However somewhere in the nook of myheart I knew that these years have just fueled into my unhealthy obsession.

A loud bang shook me out of my thoughts and my eyes widened. God, what was that?!Suddenly it hit me that it was the front door crashing. My body froze my heart constricting in my ribcage painfully. i reached for the baseball bat beside my desk. i could hear my stairs creaking loudly as if a giant was walking on them. A giant giant enough to wring my neck and then feed on my soul. God please forgive me for all my sins. Fear started rolling down from my eyes in form of liquid wetting my flushed cheeks in its wake.

The knob of my door started rattling hard. Why the hell did i not lock my door?! I am so dumb and I am gonna die dumb. I clenched my eyes shut as tears still streaming down them holding the wooden bat tightly infront of my face. Soon the door banged open and I jumped in my place and started muttering please don't kill me please don't kill me. I was almost on the verge of passing out as the fear engulfed me like a smog making it hard to breathe.

"Why the hell are you crying with that stupid bat in your hand?" a deep raspy voice resonated in my room.

I opened my eyes all blurry because of tears but the sight infront of me made my lips part in relief. The bat fell out of my hand on the floor with a loud thud.

I closed my eyes to get rid of extra tears and looked towards the door.

There stood my storm with different colored eyes
