i was ranting to my mother last evening out of frustration about how we all humans are in this vicious cycle of wanting to do something and when we are overloaded we want some time to ourselves but when we get that time we are bored and want something else and it just goes on and on and on.

it's like a race we all subconsciously compete in, where once the academic part of our life ends we are desperately trying to find something to do professionally to earn but we forget to take a break in between to rest. and even the break that we are given we spend it worrying about not getting a job.

why is that so? why can't we just peacefully enjoy that break? why do we have to constantly run after one thing or another?
