4th Anniversary

Today remark 4th anniversary of my brother wedding. Happy anniversary!

Me and my brother family in April 2025. My sister-in-law had pregnant at this point. Yet strangely the pregnant belly wasn't visible in this photo.

New Addition

In early January 2025, my father told me that my sister in-law got pregnant again. This make my father will have the second grandchildren, as well the final. My brother had stated the second child will be the final child. Since I won't have any single child (I'm practicing childfree), so my parents have accept the fact they will have two grandchildren only.

The second child was born on July 30, 2025 via C-section. My brother gave his second child name Anson. Like what?!!!!! Are you serious give weird ass yet hard-to pronounce name?! But alas, my brother and my sister-in-law insisted the name was the good one.

For now, Anson grew healthy without any problem. As long as I know, Anson doesn't have any allergy.

Searching for School

By June 2026, Ansel will be almost three years old. It mean Ansel will start the journey of education. At first, my brother had decided to enroll Ansel to Sedaya Bintang school. This decision was made after my brother search out the suitable school from several options. Distance from the house was placed for one of important criteria. Also, there was large sum of discount for those enroll the child on academic year 2026-2027.

On September 2025, Ansel got tested by the school. Sadly, he failed to pass the test due to Ansel had bad mood at that time. Me and my mother prayed asking Ansel got accepted. It worked, the pray was granted. On October 11, 2025, a psychologist testing Ansel. Unlike the previous test, the second test was conducted by a -very patient psychologist. This time the psychologist said Ansel was ready to study at preschool. The psychologist citing reason Ansel's intelligence had already above average than typical two years old child.

Despite the result, in the end Sedaya Bintang said otherwise. Ansel failed to get accepted. In eventually, on October 30, my brother enrolled Ansel to TKK BPK Penabur 246. Looks like finally my brother found the right school. This time Ansel got accepted to study at Toddler class for academic year 2026-2027. Plus, the tuition cost was cheaper, only about six million IDR. WHAT A BARGAIN!!! In midst of rising child rearing cost and economic slowdown, got accepted at prestigious kindergarten like BPK Penabur 246 was very awesome.

Honestly, Ansel was too old to start education at Toddler class. But my brother no longer had any choice anymore due to regulation.

Ansel's Birthday

On October 6, 2025, my brother held Ansel's birthday at his house. The second birthday was held in small scale due to my parents and my sister-in-law family were unable to attend for some reasons. Despite this, my brother and my sister-in-law were excited to celebrate it. Never mind, at least I able to attend. The birthday party was finished with everyone had dinner.

Unfortunately, Ansel didn't cooperative, so there were very few photos. My brother didn't even had a chance to take photo together with me.

3rd Anniversary

Today remark 3rd anniversary of my brother wedding. Happy anniversary! Apologized for lack of any post for celebrating 2nd anniversary because I completely forgot at that time. Thankfully, in this year I remember to create it.

New Addition The number of family members had since increased into 3. In March 2023, my brother announced that my sister-in-law was pregnant. Finally I got a nephew from my brother. One month later, my brother held gender reveal event at my house. The event was held with very simple ceremony, cut a cake. I said very simple because there wasn't any elaborate decoration and event apart of cut a cake. There wasn't dress code for attendances too. My grandmother and her sisters were attended the gender reveal. During the event, it was revealed that my brother gonna to have a son. Unfortunately, I don't have any single photo from the event so I can't share the photo.

Through the pregnancy, my sister-in-law never suffer any health problem. Safe to say, my sister-in-law managed to pregnant safely until DOB finally came. On October 6, 2023, my brother and my sister-in-law welcoming a son. His name is Ansel Suyadi. His Chinese name is 苏昌安. He was born via Caesarean. Visually (only valid when he was just born), he looks like my brother, though he has a nose similar with my sister-in-law's. Overtime, he become looks more similar with my sister-in-law. He is very active baby. Overtime, I could see he leaning into extrovert guy. He never feel scared to meet everyone. As result, he always excited to meet everyone, particularly male. Justified, as he rarely interact with any male since my brother often work at Wanaherang. The sole exception is his maternal great-grandmother. I often heard report from my brother that he often cried every time he see maternal great-grandmother. Though this problem had subsided by the time he reach age twelve months old.

I able to see what kind of things that become his favorite. Carried by my brother, car (include any trip with car), get ridden with stroller, balloon, and climbing the stairs (with supervision of adult). The latter make my parents worried, citing reason safety concern. Don't worry, so far there isn't any injury case because of climbing the stairs.

Change

My sister-in-law historically against the usage of servant and babysitter. Almost all of her family relatives aren't using servant. Near the DOB, my mother and my brother became concerned with the struggle on handling housework after give birth. Fortunately, my sister-in-law changed her mind. She accept the idea using servant. My mother decided to give one servant from my home, whose just work at my home for few weeks, to help my sister-in-law. Since then, my sister-in-law had changed the servant twice time for some reason. The first one was sacked off after caught of stealing babysitter's money. The second one was resigned due to get sick from pregnant. She left in good term, however. So far, she able to get along with the servant, so none of former servants left because of strained relationship.

In spite of short height, since 2022 my sister-in-law able to drive car. My sister-in-law able to acquire the skill quickly. When my brother isn't at Bandung, my sister-in-law able to go outside by herself. This skill is very useful, as take a ride with online taxi is ridiculously expensive.

That's the update about my brother and his family. Once again, happy 3rd anniversary!

Memories from Menefesto 2018

Can't believe it's already six year since Menefesto 2018. Damn, time flies so fast.

The post began from memories on Instagram. Today I saw IG stories from six years ago. Suddenly I felt throwback to six years go. Reminds me of memories when I was apart of event committees.

Everyone prepared Menefesto with well. The committees successfully collected money above expected target, even managed to gain profit. This one got some lectures surprised, as Menefesto on previous years only reached bare minimum expected target.

The next year, while was pretty successful (ran without any problem), was plagued with lack of solidarity among 2018 class. I got information that the lectures were forced to cover the costs because the committees failed to gather much money. Near the deadline, the collected money were below expected target. Apparently the students from 2018 class weren't buy danus religiously like 2017 class.

Bonus: Juicy Luicy was the guest star on Menefesto 2018. Through the performance, Juicy Luicy performed three title tracks and few covers popular pop song. Unfortunately, few to none footage from live performance online. Hopefully all footages would be found one day.

Dog Training

Months after X-Terra began living with Hatfield family, X-Terra able to settle with all family members. As time progress, it was later discovered that X-Terra has history often not follow the instruction. To improve the behavioral issue, Ruby Ann opted to send X-Terra to get training from trainer. It was a great decision, as X-Terra gradually improved. So far, the dog able to follow almost all instruction from the children.

Ulysses T.: ”How about X-Terra? He seems obedient to anyone right now.”

Elizabeth: “Yes, that’s right. X-Terra always obedient to Billy and Hank. X-Terra slowly begin to do the same thing to my mom. Though in most time always to Billy and Hank.”

Ulysses T.: “Sounds great.”

Elizabeth: “Sure. At least I can doing daily activity peacefully. He rarely bark anyone lately.”

Ruby Ann: “Might be not 100% success. As early morning, X-Terra continue to run to catch up the newspaper girl. We should train him not to do it again. The agency has complained to us multiple time about this problem.” Ulysses T. and Elizabeth: “Ooh...” (In speechless mode)

I’m kinda surprised someone from Indonesia is promoting Gothardism. As fundamentalist Christian is largely almost non-existence in Indonesia, these find quite surprise me. Christian in Indonesia mostly are following mainstream Christian belief.

For those are clueless about these family, Hartono family were best known (among fundie snarker and Duggar family fans) for being best friend of Duggar family. The children were homeschooled despite homeschool in Indonesia wasn’t legal until 2004. It’s unknown how they managed to exploit the loophole on regulation before 2004. After graduated from homeschool, all children were enrolled at Pensacola Christian College, a well-known Christian college situated at Pensacola, Florida. 

The family somewhat isn’t strict on implementing IBLP belief. Woman in the family rarely seen in skirt only. On most photos, woman always seen wear pants. The family seem not banning mainstream pop culture. The family isn’t mandating courtship and force the children to marry quickly.

Not sure if the family still adhere to IBLP, but at least one child (Jason) most likely left IBLP. Overtime Jason become less godly, indicated with befriend non fundie influencer. Meanwhile, Elika continue to wear immodest clothes for IBLP standard. It’s unclear if there any other children left due to lack of information.

School with Shady Background

Recently, I discovered fact that many schools in Jakarta allegedly have skeleton in the closet. Unreported bullying cases, seniority cases often exist in these schools. Some schools even caught up had tried to cover up the scandal, usually with someone bribing the teacher or the principal or the foundation.

Shit... these schools cannot protecting the bullying victim. They would rather protecting the school reputation instead. Those schools should have the permits revoked by the government.
