What are your roommates like? Do you like them?
I do ^^All in all we are are 5 staff member + the owner. I live together with one girl in a room but we also have a common room for the staff member and I share that with all four staff members.
So.. how are they like…. I’ll introduce them to you!! But not using their real names xD
Mi-chan is the one who came with me to Miyajima. She’s super easy to get along with and absolutely cute! I want to cuddle her all the time xD We’re the same age and she doesn’t speak English so it happens that on 2 of my 4 working days I’m working together with her. She loves Japanese Rock, not Visual Kei though, but we completely understand each other when it comes to bands and we share the same thoughts on this topic and that makes it easy to talk about it even though we don’t listen to the same bands ^^ I’ve already talked about her here.
Ru-san is the girl I’m living together with. She doesn’t talk that much and is a bit older than me (2 years maybe?). She’s the one who listens to Visual Kei as well but completely different bands .__. Still, we have something in common and she was the person I came to in the beginning when I had any problems. She helped me a lot and maybe she is a bit like an older sister to me. I respect her a lot. She is also the one who understands my Japanese the best if I make mistakes xD She still knows most of the time what I want to say and that makes it easy to talk to her. Also because her English is great!
I needed some time to get used to Kawa-san ^^” She’s the oldest here (I guess?? xDD She’s still young but a couple of years older than me) and in the beginning she was very serious and I was a bit scared ûu” but she opened up to me and I to her and now she loves laughing at me ûu - in a good way xD It’s okay! I started to laugh at her too, so….. xD
Holly… I don’t have that much to say about her but she’s nice ^_^ Maybe around the same age like Kawa-san. And yes, she’s Japanese even though I picked a non-Japanese name for her ûu She also started to open up to me and I teach her and Mi-chan a bit English a couple of days per week in the evening ^^

All in all I get along super well with all of them. I will miss them when I leave Hiroshima ._. Really. It feels like we already became a little family.
Talking about languages, I could probably communicate in English with Ru-san and Kawa-san but we still talk in Japanese most of the time. Even when there’s a word I don’t know, I try to explain in Japanese because we’re SO used to talk in Japanese that I sometimes forget that they can speak English xD”“ With Mi-chan and Holly I only talk in Japanese of course but they’re willing to learn English, so sometimes we throw in English words xD
I have no idea if people are interested in any updates since... I think most of my followers were here to find out a bit about a work and travel-life in Japan. But today I feel like giving a short updated on how these friendships went after I left Japan. So, here we go!
Mi-chan: She’s the one I’m most in contact with still. We write a few times each month. And! More important: She came to visit me half a year ago! We travelled Europe together for 10 days and it was absolutely awesome. She’s married by now (she married only a few months after we stopped working together) but she still took days off at work (and from her husband xD) to visit me. We even went to Spyair’s concert in Germany together xDDD
Ru-san: She came to my country for work&travel but since it’s the other side of the country we didn’t meet up yet. It’s so far.. >__< And we weren’t really in contact a lot but by chance we came into contact again this week and today we skyped for 1 1/2 hours! It was so nice to talk to her again!! Maybe we can really manage it to meet up... We laughed a lot while skyping.... >__< I hope this becomes something we do more often now!
Kawa-san: She wanted to come to my country to visit this spring but I can’t take any days off and she probably can’t either so she probably won’t come ._. we’re a bit in contact still! sending packages like.. once a year xD
Holly: We met again when I was in Japan 2 years ago and it was fun even though unfortunately it was only a few hours for dinner >__< but she’s living on Hokkaido, so we can’t meet often ._.

What is quite interesting: It’s really those girls from Hiroshima I’m into contact the most from my Japan-year. These four girls I worked and lived together with for actually only 6 weeks. We have a LINE-group chat that is active sometimes, so we never lose contact completely ^^
I’ve come to know many other people. Through my work places but also through concerts and there are 1 or 2 I write to every now and then and that I really like and miss. But these four Hiroshima-girls are most dear to me! I’m so happy we still talk to each other and haven’t lost contact!! >_____<
