“You know you are in love when her tender touch puts your mind at ease. When your lips touch, it sends your heart screaming. Love is when hours pass by like minutes because time together never seems to be enough. And you’ll never get tired of looking into her eyes, like you could love her forever. But hold on, that’s not all to love. Love is when your heart has become a gaping wound and it becomes that much harder to breathe, yet you still see the best in the same person who broke it. It is feeling the same love coursing through your veins even when the person is not around to put your life into place. It is staring straight at flaws and thinking that the person is beautiful nonetheless. Love is not only because of, but also despite of. You realise that your heart does not only has the sole purpose of pumping blood into your veins but it is also there to make sure that you feel alive, that you always feel alive.

Ukiyo-e Tale by Nicolás Castell

Personal project about the journey of a foreign artist to the ancient Japan. The traveler finds a magic pen that enables him to create anything he wants. The influence of Japan in my work is evident, I wanted to create a story placed in this marvelous country, as an homage to the aesthetics of the ukiyo-e.
