This future for them, he says, is based in their backstory: "As someone who came in in season 10, I watched the backlog of episodes, and their relationship — which started out bumpy and him not liking her — turned into this lovely friendship. And while I think it was a wonderful thing that those two characters could be friends, whether those actors intended to or not, I felt fireworks when I watched it. I felt this kind of attraction going on that maybe the characters themselves were not aware of or not willing to acknowledge."

At the moment I don’t have any of the episodes from the back half of last season to be able to gif them. I do have some sets from the start of s10 and some from 9 that I haven’t had a chance to finish due to laptop issues and personal life stuff but am working on getting them done and hope I can do some for the new season 🤞🏻
Steven Weber attended the OneChicago panel at ATX last week and did some interviews discussing Archer and that finale storyline so I have put together a few main points from all the interviews I’ve come across
*possible spoilers below*
Archer was only supposed to be around for five episodes and then be killed off violently
The rooftop scene with Hannah in 10x17 was longer but stuff got cut for time though he was a big fan of the scene and said it was very meaningful to him
Said he and Jessy get along really well and he thinks the writers saw that and carried it over to the Dean/Hannah dynamic and that the characters have more chemistry with each other than they do other characters
He thinks it’s obvious that Dean is the father but that this won’t necessarily lead to a romantic relationship between them but thinks one could work
The writers conveyed the final scene in 10x17 to them as the characters seeking each other out for connection
Doesn’t see the age gap as an issue as both characters are “way into adulthood”
Thinks it would be interesting to play the storyline of Dean doing the father thing again but being more present this time albeit older and whether this time around he could be a better and healthier role model
Found filming the acid trip episode really fun but his favourite to film was The Book of Archer
They’re also planning an official OneChicago podcast to launch during the new seasons of the shows. It’ll air on Thursdays and have interviews with cast, crew, writers and producers on all three shows.
