“y/n, tell us about your memories.” your group member giggled as you both sat on a hill behind your old high school. “what were you like?”
“what was i like?” you laughed and tried to think back. “i’ll be honest, it’s probably better you ask an old classmate of what they thought of me because from i don’t remember much… i only remember my manager days.”
“what was being a manager like?”
you smiled and stared at the sun that was slowly setting. “being a manager was the best. i never showed it to them but i really loved it. it was really just looking after the players and helping the coaches keep track of the players’ progress and stuff. it was cool.”
“were you close with the players? i’m sure you were knowing you.”
“knowing me? what are you saying?” you both kept laughing. “was i close with them? i’d like to think so. we were together for so much. i was a manager for three years and i was with the players almost 24/7. i felt like an older sister to most of them.”
“what were you to the others? you said most.”
“ah, well i was the youngest of my year so i obviously couldn’t be their older sister.”
“a crush? didnt everyone have them?”
“hmmm, good point. fine. what about a first love?”
you immediately thought of him. you didn’t realize but you immediately started blushing. “a-a first love? yeah.”
“what were they like? who was it?”
“i hope they cut this, i invited him to the concert.”
“does that mean he was on the volleyball team? you said they were the only ones you invited other than your family.”
“yeah…the captain our third year. we never actually dated so i don’t think people could consider this a first love but i liked him for a long time and i think he liked me too… at least i hope so.” you looked at the camera your member was holding. “this is embarrassing to admit but... i joined the club because of him.”
your members squealed on stage and almost dog piled you. you shushed them while covering your face in embarrassment and told them to continue watching.
“y/n, one last question. between you, me and this venue, would you have stayed in japan if he asked you?”
you looked at your member in shock. you knew your answer but didn’t want to answer and the camera cut.
“what was that?” your members exclaimed. “what was your answer? what is this why’d they cut it?”
“i guess only m/n and i will ever know,” you laughed. “how sad.”
“this isn’t fair! don’t you guys think?” your member asked the audience as they all yelled in agreement.
“i just hope he isn’t here or this is really embarrassing.” you laughed along with your members as you scratched your head. “how about we move on to our next song?”
your leader nodded. “can anyone guess what song we’ll do next? i’ll give you a hint.”
after your leader did a signature move and your next song began. you danced with the video still in mind and somewhere in the crowd, there was a former captain blushing as some of his old teammates playfully teased him.
