Literally one of the main points of x reader fics is that anyone can imagine themselves as the reader. Some writers do write for specific readers on request but the majority of fics like that have vague descriptions, if any descriptions at all, intentionally.

It is what it is. It’s not like I’ve read many books that reflect the multi-racial Canadian experience, lol. I mean, I know what it’s like to lack representation. I know what my writing is and what it’s meant to be. :D

not to be a “this whole website is one giant social experiment” but it honestly blows my mind on how tumblr has completely twisted the genuinely good philosophy of “be thoughtful and think critically of the media you consume” and turned it into this extremist mindset where something is either completely ideologically pure in every single way (which, bad news. is impossible) or it’s the work of Complete Evil and must be banned and ignored in its entirety if found to be slightly problematic. and from this mindset has blossomed a black and white lens on human nature and a terrifying 1 strike and you’re out system with no growth mindset whatsoever

Disney Channel boys are typically known for being cute, funny, and dumb. Look at Austin and Ally, Liv and Maddie, Jessie, Girl Meets World, the list goes on.

I’m so proud of Andi Mack for humanizing boys. For showing that boys are messy, and have feelings, and can be just as complicated as girls are. For showing that boys don’t have to be conventionally attractive, or funny, or perfect, or even like girls to be valid.

The boys in Andi Mack are all so complicated. They’re all insecure, and working through their insecurities, and learning who they are, just like the girls are. They have emotions. They have stories. They cry, and have crushes, and feel jealous. They’re human.

So thank you, Andi Mack, for showing that boys are more than just pretty faces on screen, meant to be the main character’s love interest.

i’m personally a fan of calypso being asian, but i’ve seen some great content where she’s black. (jamie chung has been my fc for her, though it’s not perfect. i actually prefer brenda song, but it’s hard to find good pics of her that fit)

@colludingchocolatier i knew there were black greeks but after reading more about it because of this, i’m aware that the first greeks were probably black, something i didn’t know before! i’ll definitely be using black calypso in my edits from now on
