My boyfriend lives in Florida and i'm scared that something bad happens to him, and the thing that annoys me is that I can't do anything to help him because i live in Europe and i don't want to miss him :( i just can't stop crying...
Wow, Florida? Well, first off, I pray for his safety with everything going on. I pray for everyone’s safety down there.Â
Unfortunately hun, the crying never stops. I still cry for my fiancĂ© and it’s been a few months for us. You get used to the distance, and learn that it’s Ok to still cry for him. It’s ok to hurt and it’s ok to be in pain over it all. While the distance sucks, it’s something that you learn to get used to.Â
I actually ended up telling him that I didn’t know how to stop missing him, and his reply was short, simple, and exactly what I needed. All he said was, “Don’t”. Don’t stop missing him, hun. Don’t stop feeling the pain. Don’t stop hurting. Because if you stop missing him, and stop hurting for him, and stop feeling the pain, you will stop feeling the love that is driving all of those emotions. Let yourself feel the pain and the hurt because it’s love that is causing you to hurt so much. Love is a powerful emotion. It’s pain. It’s comfort. It’s horrible. It’s beautiful. It’s everything.Â
Don’t stop feeling the love, even if it’s torture for you.Â
Here’s a tip to help the time pass a little more easily. Don’t count down to the days until you see him again. Count the days that have already passed. Know that you’ve already gotten through X-days, or X-weeks. Know that you’ve made through and that you still love him enough to hurt.Â
It takes time. It’s time that’s your greatest friend and worst enemy. You’ll see him again.Â
Hey, you can talk to me any time. I’ll always listen.
