The boy has such a difficult time opening up to others bc he’s scared that they’ll leave him and when Reki came into his life he trusted him so much bc he could see how sincere he was. Now, that someone he really cared about broke a very personal promise to him bc he was struggling in his own and he didn’t know how to react.
