Today was the average overwhelming day in the life of a lost 20-something year old.
So, I packed myself a bowl.

25 and no signs of stopping.
This deals with a conversation I had yesterday after a somewhat busy eight hour shift. (I'm a server)
So with my new job, I now have about twenty new co-workers. Yesterday was my first shift flying solo. Great night, vibe in the restaurant was overall light and easygoing. Once my shift was over, I hung around for a bit and had a drink with the new trainee, Katie. Katie is a 25 year old from Michigan who moves around from city to city every six months or so. She's lived  all over Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, parts of New York and Virginia. Gotta say, I was immediately intrigued and knew at some point I'd pick her brain about her lifestyle.Â
We started out by exchanging the small introduction of "where ya from?", "how old are you?", "what brings you to Tallahassee?". She was born in Ohio, raised in Michigan, she's 25 and she was in Tallahassee having an adventure with two other friends. At first the idea of coming to Tallahassee for an adventure seemed a little old but hey, to each his own. She moves around every couple of months, working as a server or bartender wherever the wind takes her.
I've thought about living my life like this for a couple years. To just take off, work little jobs here and there, and really live life. Living in New York for a couple years as a broke dancer, moving to Colorado somewhere in the woods where I'm surrounded by mountains, going to culinary school, skydiving, seeing the Grand Canyon, being an au pair, I'm too lazy to write out the rest but you get my point. At what point are we equipped to make life decisions so important? I guess it really just comes down to living life with no regrets, and knowing that even if make the wrong decision, you can always get up and try again or try something new. Although, that would mean time is infinite, which it isn't.. but thats a whole different conversation.Â
She said her travels and new experiences made up for the fact that she didn't have a "home". Meeting a person who was so detached from material possessions was absolutely refreshing.Â
Lovely Wednesday to all.

Don't fight too hard for something that just won't work. When it's wrong, it's wrong. When it's right you will know, and all the pieces will fall into place. Happiness is easy, but love takes the right time, individual, and mindset.

It’s taboo to admit that you’re lonely. You can make jokes about it, of course. You can tell people that you spend most of your time with Netflix or that you haven’t left the house today and you might not even go outside tomorrow. Ha ha, funny. But rarely do you ever tell people about the true depths of your loneliness, about how you feel more and more alienated from your friends each passing day and you’re not sure how to fix it. It seems like everyone is just better at living than you are. A part of you knew this was going to happen. Growing up, you just had this feeling that you wouldn’t transition well to adult life, that you’d fall right through the cracks. And look at you now. La di da, it’s happening. Your mother, your father, your grandparents: they all look at you like you’re some prized jewel and they tell you over and over again just how lucky you are to be young and have your whole life ahead of you. “Getting old ain’t for sissies,” your father tells you wearily. You wish they’d stop saying these things to you because all it does is fill you with guilt and panic. All it does is remind you of how much you’re not taking advantage of your youth. You want to kiss all kinds of different people, you want to wake up in a stranger’s bed maybe once or twice just to see if it feels good to feel nothing, you want to have a group of friends that feels like a tribe, a bonafide family. You want to go from one place to the next constantly and have your weekends feel like one long epic day. You want to dance to stupid music in your stupid room and have a nice job that doesn’t get in the way of living your life too much. You want to be less scared, less anxious, and more willing. Because if you’re closed off now, you can only imagine what you’ll be like later. Every day you vow to change some aspect of your life and every day you fail. At this point, you’re starting to question your own power as a human being. As of right now, your fears have you beat. They’re the ones that are holding your twenties hostage. Stop thinking that everyone is having more sex than you, that everyone has more friends than you, that everyone out is having more fun than you. Not because it’s not true (it might be!) but because that kind of thinking leaves you frozen. You’ve already spent enough time feeling like you’re stuck, like you’re watching your life fall through you like a fast dissolve and you’re unable to hold on to anything. I don’t know if you ever get better. I don’t know if a person can just wake up one day and decide to be an active participant in their life. I’d like to think so. I’d like to think that people get better each and every day but that’s not really true. People get worse and it’s their stories that end up getting forgotten because we can’t stand an unhappy ending. The sick have to get better. Our normalcy depends upon it. You have to value yourself. You have to want great things for your life. This sort of shit doesn’t happen overnight but it can and will happen if you want it. Do you want it bad enough? Does the fear of being filled with regret in your thirties trump your fear of living today? We shall see.
You’re Not Making The Most Out Of Your 20s by Ryan O'Connell
I think this really depicts a realness about what your 20's are like, or at least from what I've noticed.Â

A friend recently introduced me to this duo. Good for this calm Monday off from work. Thank you Christopher Columbus!

Easy going Monday off from work. Time to clean and bake something. Fashion choices include, a non-brushed beehive of a bun, and an oversized Mellow Mushroom shirt.Â

Monday morning run
So with recent changes in my life (about to graduate/ a recent break up/ and trying to move away), I decided I would ease my mind with running. Figured it wouldn't hurt to get in better shape. I always talk about wanting to be in better shape, so why not now?Â
This is the second week in a row where I've tried to go running everyday. Usually running somewhere between 3 and 5 miles. Maybe it was the bowl I hit beforehand, or some good energy found its way to me because I decided to go further and take streets where I was jogging uphill. I took a couple blocks to just enjoy the sun rising and all the beautiful trees within the neighborhoods I ran through. Gotta say, I never imagined I would like it so much, leaves me feeling awake and energized throughout my day. Which is something I really appreciate since I don't drink coffee or "energizing" drinks.Â
I've been using the MapMyRun app to help me keep track of my workouts. Nifty little app tracks elevation, speed, and distance.
The picture on the left is a small garden I saw ran by this morning, the light was making all the leaves glisten and I thought I'd share it :)
Happy Monday.

I wanted so badly to lie down next to her on the couch, to wrap my arms around her and sleep. Not fuck, like in those movies. Not even have sex. Just sle...
So I was Stumbling Uponing the other day and came across this quote. I don't know why, but I liked it.Â
