I may not agree with what you have to say but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. I love to explore this vast universe of wondrous things. I’m dying to feel alive. Dying for something so real & chaotic it’s beautiful. I treat everyone with respect even if they have fucked me over. I don't like to live with hate in my heart. I love reading English Literature & anything to do with Philosophy. new TWTR.Widget({ version: 2, type: 'profile', rpp: 4, interval: 6000, width: 250, height: 300, theme: { shell: { background: '#eb65eb', color: '#ffffff' }, tweets: { background: '#84dce8', color: '#ffffff', links: '#143ea1' } }, features: { scrollbar: false, loop: false, live: false, hashtags: true, timestamp: true, avatars: false, behavior: 'all' } }).render().setUser('Miss_Maudee').start();
I have this strange feeling that I’m not myself anymore. It’s hard to put into words, but I guess it’s like I was fast asleep, and someone came, disassembled me, and hurriedly put me back together again. That sort of feeling.
"My goal for the next decade is to try to make it as easy to save the world in real life as it is to save the world in online games.”" — Jane McGonigal
"Maybe no one’s really crazy. Everyone is just a little bit mad. How much depends on where you fall in the spectrum. How much depends on how lucky you are.”" — Joshua Walters
"Art is a deception that creates real emotions — a lie that creates a truth. And when you give yourself over to that deception, it becomes magic.”" — Marco Tempest
And this was all actually quite shocking to me, because prior to this moment, I had prided myself on having absolutely no regrets. I made a lot of mistakes and dumb decisions, of course. I do that hourly. But I had always felt like, look, you know, I made the best choice I could make given who I was then, given the information I had on hand. I learned a lesson from it. It somehow got me to where I am in life right now. And okay, I wouldn't change it. In other words, I had drunk our great cultural Kool-Aid about regret, which is that lamenting things that occurred in the past is an absolute waste of time, that we should always look forward and not backward, and that one of the noblest and best things we can do is strive to live a life free of regrets. The inability to experience regret is actually one of the diagnostic characteristics of sociopaths. We need to learn how to live, not without regret, but with it.
Freedom:
Freedom is the biggest lie of the monetary system. But what does it really mean to be free? The word freedom really has no definition unless you sit down and ask what do you mean by freedom? If I go to the neighbor next door and shoot him… is that what you mean by freedom? What do you mean freedom? Oh no, you mean manage human limitations on behavior? Then don’t use the word freedom, then just say in the United States there’s a certain range of human behavior that’s permissible and you list that range of behavior as permissible. But don’t use words like freedom; there can never be freedom in a society. Ya know when countries start to tell their people you are free and you have democracy, if they have to keep saying that, watch out. I don’t know what freedom is when how many millions of people can’t even get medical care. You don't drive the kinda car you want to drive; you drive the kinda car you can afford to drive. I don’t how many people are free to live in the kind of house they want to live in; they live in a house they can afford to live in. They don’t have food; they can’t send their kids to school. They don’t know what’s going on and they don’t know how they’re being manipulated but they believe these words.
What’s interesting about this country is that they talk about how we have freedom of choice but its limited choice. All the things that are important are reduced in choice by the government but jelly beans… 32 flavors, ice cream ... all the things that don’t matter, the unimportant things you’ve got a lot of choices and you know what I say, you know what your freedom of choice is in America, paper or plastic, charge or cash, isle or window, smoking or non-smoking, coke or pepsi. These are your choices. Everything else is kinda laid out for you. You get to do what they really want. They do what they want. The ones who own this country, they do what they want.
When you think “My god that shouldn’t of happened”, whatever happens is real, what you think shouldn’t of happened is unreal and that’s where you suffer. Your concept of reality, it hurts you if it doesn’t correspond with the physical world. We say things like have a nice weekend, ya know, why don’t you say have a nice life, go all the way. You understand? We say have a nice vacation, go all the way, say have a nice life. In other words our churches even bless our war tanks this is all anti-Christ. They always need money for Jesus and god needs money. God doesn’t need any money. This is a human concept. So god bless America, who the hell are you to tell god who to bless? Who are you to say god is on our side? You’re doing god’s thinking for him. Don’t you see that yet?
So you see we need a lot of knowledge. People have to be better informed and what is most difficult to do is extract that which is most significant … that’s what intelligence is the ability to extract significance from many different situations, not an intelligence test.
Enjoy your body, use it every way you can. Don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own.
When the world knows beauty as beauty, ugliness arises
When it knows good as good, evil arises
Thus being and non-being produce each other
Difficult and easy bring about each other
Long and short reveal each other
High and low support each other
Music and voice harmonize each other
Front and back follow each other
Therefore the sages:
Manage the work of detached actions
Conduct the teaching of no words
They work with myriad things but do not control
They create but do not possess
They act but do not presume
They succeed but do not dwell on success
It is because they do not dwell on success
That it never goes away
To our mothers-- who always believed we could and will improve, who loved us deeply enough to let us go, who ended every phone call, e-mail and card with “I love you”, who never gave up hoping for our happiness.
We thank them for their strength, we honor them for their suffering, we forgive them for their mistakes; for in becoming aware of their limitations, we learned to acknowledge our own. To our wonderful mothers and their love.

You live like this, sheltered, in a delicate world, and you believe you are living. Then you read a book… or you take a trip… and you discover that you are not living, that you are hibernating. The symptoms of hibernating are easily detectable: first, restlessness. The second symptom (when hibernating becomes dangerous and might degenerate into death): absence of pleasure. That is all. It appears like an innocuous illness. Monotony, boredom, death. Millions live like this (or die like this) without knowing it. They work in offices. They drive a car. They picnic with their families. They raise children. And then some shock treatment takes place, a person, a book, a song, and it awakens them and saves them from death. Some never awaken.
