Hi hello.

Today I tried drawing with my old art style again.

"But it's not that different from your current art-"

Shh. Yes it is. To me.

I won't be copying other people's art anymore. I'll be copying myself. Heh. (Copy here as studying art btw ok.)

You have no idea how happy I am right now. It's like a dog finding its old abandoned leash or something...💔😢😢

okay, back to the topic.

I think you can already tell the main characteristics at first glance. It's simple, cute, and very round. The face is round with a slightly pointy chin (and cheek?), the hair is fluffy (sometimes it looks like a wet cat), and there isn't much detail on the face because I hated drawing eyes (yes forgive me).

It also relied a lot more on body language than facial expressions.

The body proportions are kind of a mix between chibi and anime because I was trying so hard (and so badly) to draw anime back then. I struggled so much that I accidentally created a style of my own(?)instead... which I actually love.

Some old art of mine have poses that don't make any sense because my anatomy was still ass, but we'll ignore that.

My rendering was also much lighter, the colors were way more saturated, and everything looked really cheerful and joyous...

...which is funny because I was depressed at the time. (im 67% sure)

I guess I was subconsciously trying to cheer myself up through my drawings.

Also one thing I noticed is that dzai always looks submissive for whatever reason but ok ig bro 🥹🥹🥹🥹
