How I feel right now.
The night before the burial of her husband 2nd Lt. James Cathey of the United States Marine Corps, killed in Iraq, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of him, and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. “I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it” she said. “I think that’s what he would have wanted”. -Not sure what is more honorable: Being married to this faithful wife to the end or the Marine standing next to the casket watching over them both. IN HONOR OF ALL OF OUR ARMED FORCES PLEASE SHARE THIS.
forever reblog. forever.
Never forget those who were lost. To all those in uniform, thank you.
Thank you forever to those who serve. Although I hope I am never faced with this situation.
This is so perfect. I wish I could just go through the gate and hop on the boat and head out for the weekend. Then come back on Sunday evening to sit on a rocking chair and watch as everyone else returns from their adventures, while roasting marshmallows for s'mores and cuddling in a sweater blanket.
wouldn’t mind coming home to this…
Ughhh, I so miss shopping. I'm going to save like a maniac once I start working, and go on an EPIC spree for fall/winter!
1. Your skin may never be perfect, and that’s okay. 2. Life is too short not to have the underwear, the coffee, and the haircut you want. 3. Everyone (including your family, your coworkers, and your best friend) will talk about you behind your back, and you’ll talk about them too. It doesn’t mean you don’t love each other. 4. It’s okay to spend money on things that make you happy. 5. Sometimes without fault or reason, relationships deteriorate. It will happen when you’re six, it will happen when you’re sixty. That’s life.

Fireworks season!!
I was lucky enough to be invited to see the St. Clair Shores fireworks, by boat. It was fantastic! We got so close to the barge they were launching from. Gorgeousness abound.
I took a few snaps on the way there, and during the show.
Enjoy!
I'm hoping to get to a few more by next weekend! Maybe my friend will be so kind as to take me out on his boat for a show!
Happy fireworks, ya'll!
