byf: we have level 1 autism and might be awkward or take ages to reply. we are only online probably 2 non consecutive hours a day and at odd hours due to chronic pain keeping us up. chronic pain and chronic fatigue are also major reasons why we might be online longer than usual. we have classical Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (which is responsible for the chronic pain) and we will post about our life with cEDS sometimes as it majorly affects us. our blog will mainly be for View Askew posts and fanfics we make. We're trying to get into digital art and will post some eventually <3 our other interests include emo/grunge/alt/etc music from the 90s and 2000s, 80s glam metal, physical art, photo editing, writing, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Home Improvement, Friends, and more comedy/80s and 90s films! we’ve thought about it and we agreed leaving tumblr until our mental health is better is the best thing for us rn. we are in a severe mental health crisis, the worst it’s been in years, and social media always amplifies our mental health crises, it’s addicting for us (we used to have a SEVERE social media addiction when we were younger and we’ve done a LOT of work to get over it, we still have very little self control but at least we have some) and lately because scrolling, liking, commenting and getting interactions has been giving our brain the dopamine rush it lacks naturally, we’ve been neglecting our mental health responsibilities for tumblr and empty dead dry servers. constantly checking to see if we get likes we never get, dms we never get, messages in servers that die the instant we talk (which doesn’t help, our inner critic is telling us people hate us and go offline to avoid us and that’s why the servers are always dry) we have. a lotttttt of system work to do, we’ve neglected logging switches and now have to wild guess who was fronting and when and have a lot of missing patches in our log, a lot of unlogged new alters, we haven’t focused on our system and our system exclusively, took a real break from social media and just focused on our system exclusively in months and we really NEED to like. RIGHT NOW. our system is literally so disorganized. that and the rest of mental health crisis we’re in. we need to self isolate and have time to ourselves to sort things out and improve our mood. also since we feel much better when we don’t have social media but also wanna keep this blog for the fandom and stuff as an outlet, we will keep this blog as a side hobby not a full time blogger. same w our other blogs. we’ll be giving our discord to anyone we wanna keep in contact with and deleting the tumblr app after we post this.

you think i don’t know this? i have listened to motivation on this blog and thought about deleting all my blogs so many times because the trap of not getting likes and follows like everyone else in the fandom. social media is toxic that way. worth is measured in likes and follows these days and that’s why so many people develop self esteem issues or their existing mental problems get worse. i don’t even know why i returned to social media anyway, i guess loneliness because every time i let people in my life they turn out to be untrustworthy or toxic or something Big Bad, to the point i socially isolated myself to just three friends, but they all have lives and ignore me so im left lonely and loneliness is literally what drove me here. i cant win for losing. suicidal and filled with self hate when im isolated but safe from being hurt by other people or not getting likes just hurt by other people but not as isolated and a few friends i can reach out to. i hate this dilemma and i hate my life.

Do you think anybody cares about your stupid mental health? It’s obvious you don’t have DID if you have to question it this much, if you feel like you’re roleplaying most of the time you are, if you feel like your alters are just voices they are, if you feel like your “amnesia” is just normal childhood amnesia people without trauma have or just the typical amnesia singlets with trauma have, it is. And seriously stop using your phone so much. Maybe you’d have better daily memory and better mental health. The way you talk, I really don’t believe anything happened to you because even the most dissociative and denial bogged of systems know their trauma is real and their alters are real and are static in it. If you always feel like you’re faking, maybe you are. Some food for thought while you’re “off Tumblr.”

i really don’t wanna be depressing on this blog but my mental health has hit rock bottom. i’m not brushing my teeth, i’m not getting dressed, i’m only showering every 2-3 days when my autistic nervous system craves the sensory stimulation, there’s lots of trash and chores that have stacked up, i’m self harming, i feel worthless, like i’ll never amount to anything and don’t matter, like if i died it wouldn’t matter because nobody really notices i exist anyway and im untalented and too disabled to really contribute to society and be worth the air i breathe, i feel 100% convinced i was born some sex obsessed whore because of my mental fuckups i was born with and the “csa” didn’t happen and if it did it doesn’t count as csa, i’m insecure as fuck, i don’t know who the fuck i am or who i want to be, i feel like everything’s gonna get worse in my life, i really am in a crisis in every sense of the word. im gonna be taking a long break from tumblr and ill be 100% honest i don’t fuckin know when i’ll be back. the fanfics are on hold until my mental health improves. i’m sorry. i just can’t handle this rn.

another thing- i haven’t even split a single brainmade alter this year. it’s all fictives or factives of people who bullied me. if i really had DID or even osdd i’d split brainmades all the time. people who are mistaken about having did/osdd always have a lot of “fictives and factives” bc the brain can mirror them and make you think they live in your head. i use the excuse “you’ve been under so much stress this year that’s why your brain is depleted of the resources to make brainmade alters” but it feels like pseudo science. i’m genuinely convinced im faking/mistaken guys.

people don’t really talk about this side of having DID because it’s not glamours or like-worthy but. i don’t even feel like i have DID, or even trauma for that matter, most of the time. my trauma and DID feels like a roleplay im severely detached from; the trauma memories feel like videos instead of first person memories, no tactile or audible or any sensations attached to them, just like i’m watching them through a screen. my alters, if they even get 50 feet near the front, feel like voices only or people i’m trying to talk to through a soundproof window where we have to yell to hear each other. they don’t even take control of my body sometimes, which leaves me wondering if i’m faking and just really bad bpd or schizospec. not even being told about things i should remember because my minds memory making was established by then makes me feel valid anymore, like let’s say i’m told about something we did a lot as a family when i was 10, i have well solid weight-holding memories from when i was 10 why don’t i remember this specific thing we did a lot? my mind goes to “oh well people lose childhood memories as they get older you don’t have trauma” or “so? everyone with trauma has spotty childhood memory. it doesn’t automatically mean you have DID” literally even amnesia doesn’t convince me anymore. and when i have micro amnesia of the present my mind chalks it up to adhd, phone addiction rotting my brain or just simply “normal human memory lapses.” im starting to think im just a singlet with really bad bpd and/or schizospec, that would explain why i feel more like a collection of voices i feel distant from with looks and drives to do things that control me instead of someone who’s shattered and can’t remember anything of their current life. it would help if i was in a safe environment allowed to get mental help but. oh shit i made it too long nobody’s gonna read this anyway bye

i want to remind people nicely that we do have a bunch of view askew fictives, this doesn’t mean we’re faking and no we don’t have every character, and no we’re not going to just spill out a list of every character we introjected for you. that is unsafe and nobody should be forced to share all their alters or any alters they’re uncomfortable sharing. they’re fine with shipping their sources, but would prefer it if you saw them as and interacted with them as average people instead of “OH HI DANTE!
