The Study Buddies Project

The Basics:

How does it work?

You simply fill out this form, I get the information and pair you with a studyblr I thin you’d get along with based on what you’ve told me. Then, you get a message from me letting you know who your buddy is.

Why?

Sometimes it’s hard to talk to people. This way, not only is your buddy expecting you but you also know they want to talk to you and become friends. I hope to build lasting relationships where fellow studyblrs can help, advise, support and encourage each other.

How are buddies assigned? What if I don’t get along with my buddy?

I look at hobbies, interests, likes and dislikes, field of study and age as well as the “What You Want” section and find compatible matches. If you guys don’t click though, you can always apply again to get a new buddy.

Is this only for studyblrs?

No, this is aimed at studyblrs but even if you’re not one you can apply. Please note that there is an option for studyblrs to choose to only be paired with studyblrs. This is because I know some study blogs only follow other studyblogs, etc.

getting the hang of hiragana and katakana. everything makes SO much more sense now (excuse my terrible japanese handwriting, i’m practising to make all the characters look more even and correct!). now learning how to write simple greetings and phrases that i’ve picked up over the years, but never knew how to put on paper. it’s all coming together!

Just played a bit of the first Cooking Mama on my DS in Japanese...

…and wow, am I gonna be playing more tomorrow after dinner!

Seriously, it was super helpful: while it is all in hiragana, I understood a lot. I can say that I probably had an instant 80% understanding and could infer the rest from icons and actions. It was also super fun and hard to put down. I’m only stopping because it’s time to get sleepy for bed.

(Also, I want to invest in the spin-offs, but I want to clear this game first before looking for others at the secondhand store. But what fun!)

Another for the Game and Note, and definitely another title for practicing language and vocabulary!

030118 : 3/100 days of productivity

today is the last day of my christmas holidays, but i’m pretty excited to get back to school, get back to classes, and catch up with some of my friends !!
