me, crying: i just love hannibal lecter a whole awful real lot and he means a ton to me and how much i relate to his (non-murder/abuse-related) emotional garbage also means a whole ton to me and i s2g if i see anyone say that he’s “pure evil” or some shit that takes away from the complexity of his character ever again im gonna yell
like obviously it doesn’t excuse that he’s done some real shitty stuff (murder, manipulation, etc.). he’s a fucking interesting character, regardless.

Her mouth opened slightly when he mentioned music and arts. This man was almost everything that her inner mind was, so it was hard for her to not over-react.
“Not too long ago, I used to dabble in music and arts, when I had more free-time on my hands, but I’ll leave it as a secret, maybe you’ll find out sometime” She smiled lightly, suppressing a wink as to not make him uncomfortable (but she might save it for later).

“Certainly. He’s the man in command. It’s his call as to who does or doesn’t get brought on as consultant, and there’s nothing we can do about that.” He slipped a hand into one pocket. “Ah. I.. am not sure that ‘study’ is the correct term, but I do have a passion for the arts. Culinary arts, music, and fine arts, all of that.”

So much had changed. A different place, a different time….. and Will, too, was different. Hannibal, however, was the same. And he was as ready to see Will as he ever was. Their relationship had shifted so much over the past span of time; who knew what Will’s reaction to seeing him again would be. He closed his eyes briefly, just outside of Will’s room’s door, and then turned the knob. “Hello, Will,” he said softly.
Will flinched, looking up towards the ma, scratchy, uncomfortable. He frowns, picking his arm gently and he hums “….”. He recognized the man, he remembered most of him. “….Hello Doctor Lecter”He mumbles, slowly picking at the tape of his IV “…A…weird..experience is it not?…”
“I suppose it is.” That flinch hurt him a little, but he would not let himself be too fazed. Will recognized him and spoke his name, which was certainly something.
Hannibal stepped into the room, leaving the door slightly ajar behind him. “How are you feeling?”

Wills hands scratched at the sheets and he frowned, he was supposed to talk to ‘an old friend’ of his, doctor Lecter…It was a familiar name to him.

She could see the faint surprise in his eyes after she’d asked the question. Marissa knew it was probably rude the way she just blurted it out, but in all honestly she was past caring. She wanted answers, answers for why this man had decided to ruin her parents lives over and over.
She took a deep breath to help push away the fear that was trying to take over (she was standing before the demon that had always haunted her nightmares after all). “Could you…please…tell me why you decided it would be fun to ruin my parents lives multiple times?”
It was brave of her to outright ask him such a question; even he had to acknowledge that. In a different situation he may have even thought it admirable. She was young, but showed tenacity and courage that unmistakably came from her parents, both strong people in their own right.
He clasped his hands behind his back, considering what would be the best way to approach the subject with her. “This is more complex than I believe you’re aware of,” he responded, carefully. “I would caution against jumping to conclusions.”
