âI keep telling myself that it could be worse, but then I think of the how and I get more depressed,â he rubbed the back of his neck. âBut I also know that weâve been in difficult, impossible positions before and somehow made it through. At least the Inquisition is more pulled together than our little rag-tag group ever was.â
They had fallen into some ridiculous scenarios and made out by what felt like sheer luck alone.
âIâm glad to see you in one piece, if Iâm being honest. I heard some rather worrying rumors in the midst of the Circles falling, and couldnât exactly check in on them. And now Adamant,â Alistair shook his head, less in answer, more in an attempt to get it out of his head.
âPhysically being the Fade, WynneâŠIt was something else entirely. It was like every Warden nightmare shoved together in a tiny box and tinted green. But thatâs neither here or there,â he bounced off the subject, because ignoring something bothering you was always the best way to deal with it.
âI was rather hoping that youâve heard from Surana. Because I havenât for over a month now and Iâm growing a tad bit worried. She also refused to tell me where she was going next, which doesnât bode well, but she loves writing to you. Have you heard anything at all?â
The motherly concern crossed her face and she put her hand on his shoulder, hoping to offer some comfort. Being in the fade mentally was an experience all it self, physically, she couldnât even imagine.
âThe last I wrote her she mentioned getting close to something to help the both of you, to help all wardens. She asked about runes and blight resistant minerals and plants, even asked for Inesâ notes. Where she is now I could not say, Leliana arranged a dead drop for her through one of her agents I believe. I imagine she rushed into something with the false calling Corypheus sent out but she has a level head on her shoulders.â *The old mage let out that strained sigh as she sat down.
âIt might help to talk about it Alistair, processing what you experienced might make it less terrifying.â Pats the bench that was totally here, fight me metaphysical constructed space.

âWell I wonât say no to a cup of tea,â the enchanter gives a warm smile before sitting down and drinking tea with a friend felt like something from a lifetime ago. âHopefully he is listening and paying attention and not worrying about his socks or what will be served for dinner. Perhaps keep your armor on for a while.â Gave a quick look to the door to see if there were any eaves dropping.
âWe may have need of it sooner rather than later.â A hand slowly went to grab the sock sheâd put down and resume her patch job for the king of Ferelden.
Avery gave a short laugh at the mention of Alistair followed by a small smile, âThose are his favorite socks though.âÂ
With a nod at the comment about armor she looked around a bit, deciding that she would make their tea herself, not wanting to ask a servant to do it, besides it would give her a look around the kitchen, âIâll be right back with teaâŠâ
Luckily the kitchen was nearby, walking in Avery noticed how oddly quiet it was. She frowned to herself as she grabbed and filled a kettle before placing it over the fire. Soon a few servants walked in with items that looked like ingredients, they stopped short once they say Avery. They were in the palace before she left.Â
âY-Your highness? Youâre back?â One squeaked in surprise as the kettle gave the sound it was finished.
âYes,â Avery answered plainly as she took the kettle off the fire and placed it on a tray with two teacups.
âWhere is the chef?â She asked, though the servants looked around and obviously didnât know she asked another question, âIs it a new chef? Or is it still the man from before?â
âOh we have two chefs now, the head chef you know and his new assistant. Would you like us to find them?â a servant asked, Avery then nodded and gave a quick lie in response, âI want to discuss whats on the menu for the next few days.â
One servant scurried off while the other got busy putting up the ingredients that they had just brought. Avery picked up the tray and returned to Wynne. Once she was back she looked around and set the tray down on a small table.Â
âWe have a new assistant chef,â Avery said making it sound like small talk as she poured tea for Wynne and herself, âI apparently missed a lot of things while I was goneâŠâ
âOh? I hope it was on good terms they left, an angry chef could become a problem.â She took the tea and put the repaired socks on the table, folded neatly.Â
Hated having to play the spy, Leliana was far superior for this kind of thing but she had an entire network to manage. With a quiet twirl of her finger her perimeter glyphs activated. At the very least theyâd know when someone was coming.
âStill I wonder if it mightâve been Alistairâs eating habits being too much like Barkspawnâs.âÂ
thewardenqueenâ:Â
âLuckily, I donât have to sit on the throne with armor unless its for some special occasionâŠâ Avery wasnât sure how Wynne was able to do it, but just seeing her here made Avery feel a sense of relief and slightly excited. Avery couldnât help but hug her now, but carefully because her armor was awkward.Â
âIâll give you a proper hug later, Iâm just so excited to see you.â Avery said letting go and taking a step back, Avery wasnât sure just how much the walls could see and hear at the moment, so she wasnât sure what to say exactly.Â
âIâm so glad you came for a visitâŠâ There was a look in Averyâs eyes that expressed that they were here for the same reason- though Avery knew that it was risky coming back. On one hand, if the Venetori attacked they would feel like this would be killing two birds with one stone - eliminating both King and Queen of Ferelden. However, on the other hand the Venetori had no idea who they were dealing with now especially with Wynne here. If they were all able to survive the blight, a few Venetori mages should be a piece of cake.Â
Then Avery noticed a pair of socks in Wynneâs hands, âDid Alistair ask you to mend his socks? I canât believe himâŠâ She gave a small sigh of disapproval, âHow did that man function while I was gone?â
âOh, he doesnât know Iâm back yet, I actually didnât tell him- I wanted it to be a surprise.â She said with a smile, âAre you going to sit in the library for a while? I will get changed and join you for some tea if you would like.â
âWell I wonât say no to a cup of tea,â the enchanter gives a warm smile before sitting down and drinking tea with a friend felt like something from a lifetime ago. âHopefully he is listening and paying attention and not worrying about his socks or what will be served for dinner. Perhaps keep your armor on for a while.â Gave a quick look to the door to see if there were any eaves dropping.
âWe may have need of it sooner rather than later.â A hand slowly went to grab the sock sheâd put down and resume her patch job for the king of Ferelden.

yunhuntressâ:
The huntress approached upon the horse she had been given. While asked to accompany the elder, Fang was not at all bothered about it. She had intended to go regardless on if people would like it or not. The woman was highly stubborn that way and despite how young she appeared, she could rival Wynne for being an elder herself.
Fang dismounted and found herself watching the area carefully. Magic had a funny way of making itself known to her when she id her best to pay attention. Her ears caught her friendâs words and she nodded. It would be kept close to be careful while crossing the bridge. Potions could effect her and warp her sense of self for a few hours. That was to be avoided at all costs. Adjusting her lance into her hand, she set off to follow behind Wynne.
âIâve got your back.â
âThere are at least four floors to cover, five including the basement,â as she made her way to the grand doors at the base of the Tower. âA word of warning, the veil was already delicate here and held together by patch spellwork after a revolt nearly a decade ago. I do not know what we may encounter, if we find evidence of a rift weâd best send for the Inquisitor to come and seal it.âÂ
She tapped her staff on the ground and the doors slowly grinded open, darkness await ahead. Sconces enchantments long since renewed and powered, likely raided for the little lyrium they had by the templars. With another tap, a small wisp popped out of the silverite staff and bobbed in the air, light falling on the old walls.
theuthenaraâ:
âItâs quiet alright, Iâm more than happy to listen; keeps our minds awake.âÂ
The senior enchanter tugged on her robes to warm herself up. Thinking back on the doors sheâd had to maneuver through in her own life. Perhaps best to change the mood for the Wardenâs sake.
âIf there is one door I think we can all agree was bad to open, itâd be the one in the Tower before we were all put to sleep.â Wynne rubbed her hindquarters. âThe Tower floors were never quiet comfortableâŠa few of the desks were though.â A wry smile creeps on her lips as she remembers one of herâŠdalliances with Gregor.
Fayble;
She laughs a little, âI imagine those few desk were still more comfortable then some of the cots. But they were home.â Fayble was one of those mages who was born within Kinloch; her parents sent away and their fates unknown after she was bornâŠÂ Itâs the only world Fayble had known before the Blight. With only stories told and the views from windows
âIt just occurred to me, I didnât even get the chance to move into my own quarters because of all this.â It was a sad smile, perhaps wounded as she adds, moving a log into the fire and rekindling it. ââŠPerhaps it was for the best anyway.â
âI had often wondered why we made apprentices endure those hardened cot, I remember Sweeny once joking about how it was beneficial to have mages able to sleep through the worst conditions to improve stability while in the Fade...I think he preferred the budget spent on supplying the microbrews the Tranquil made.â Wynne rubbed her hands together before having them open for warmth from the tended flames.
âYes...I imagine so, if you hadnât left with the wardens I imagine youâd have been locked in with the rest of us during the uprising and wouldnât have been in a position to save us from the right of annulment.âÂ

Avery was quickly making her way back to Denerim when she heard about the hidden Venetori in the palace. Though Alistair could take care of himself, the fact that the Venetori were able to infiltrate the staff so well concerned her.Â
She noticed how quiet the palace was when she made her way to the back entrance, something was wrong⊠Why was no one tending to the garden? Avery looked around and noticed the staff that was there didnât seem like their usual self. She wondered if the assassin already made their move.Â
Stepping inside the palace Avery was happy she still had her armor on, it was all too quiet for her. As she made her way further inside she noticed the entire feel of the palace was off- perhaps not to a random visitor, but to the people who lived here, it felt less lively. However, Avery would make sure to act as if she didnât know about the assassination plot. It was when she was making her way to the library when she saw a familiar face.Â
A smile made its way to Averyâs face, âI canât believe it. Itâs youâŠâ Her steps picked up speed as she made her way to her friend, âIâm so happy to see you!â Avery said, almost sounding relieved.Â
Avery stopped and looked down at herself, still wearing her armor, âI just came back⊠I donât suppose I look too royal at the momentâŠâ
It was nice to be back in familiar lands, also the cold wasnât as bad down here in Denerim as it was in Skyhold so that helped her aches immensely. If only it wasnât the news of a potential assassination that drove her down here. The Queen had been out when sheâd arrived but Alistair was there to give a greeting before being called away to âboringâ meetings...but not before asking her to mend a pair of his favorite socks for old times sake.
Stitching for the King of Ferelden, seemed the least an old mage could do after the rebels had taken over his uncleâs land. She took herself to the library, using her advanced age to make it look like she was leaning against the wall to set up some wards to keep her alerted to any potential intruders or attacks. By then sheâd made her way to the library.
The servants would likely leave her be to her reading and view her as an old woman revisiting her friends from her golden days. Sheâd barely had time to sit down when she heard armored footsteps approaching and then a bounding young Queen coming up almost running into her for a hug (which sheâd totally be fine with).Â
âYou look every bit royal as a Queen should, especially during such times as these.â The silver haired mage gave her a smile and looked at the state of the Queenâs battle regalia. âI imagine it canât be comfortable when sitting on the throne for long.âÂ
Falsities About Vivienne
Iâve unfortunately seen a spike in peopleâs hatred for Vivienne lately, and worst thing about that is, Iâm gonna say it: Theyâre wrong. A lot of the reasons people hate Vivienne are in fact, wrong. False. Not true. Inaccurate.Â
So hereâs some of the most popular falsities about Vivienne, debunked. Iâm not going to talk about whether her stances on things are right or wrong, only address the misconceptions about her.

Seriously?
People sending anons to RPers over 20 telling them to get a life because they RP. Thatâs so stupid!
Are there any RPers out there who are over 25? Wouldnât it be nice to show the RPC that RPing is not only for teens? Most of us have been here for years because we love writing and we love the characters weâve created and the stories weâve written and the friends weâve made.
Please reblog if you agree and youâre 21+

@hardlynxbleââ/Wynne
Alistair would say that everything was terrible and the world deserved to be incinerated, since it refused to stay fixed for longer than a six month increment, but would be untrue and unfair. He was also self aware enough by now to know he was overtired. And sleep deprived people (especially those who had been hearing the voice of an old god for longer then theyâd like to admit) rarely, if ever, made proper decisions.
His decision to avoid Morrigan as much as possible, once he arrived from the now destroyed Adamant Fortress to Skyhold, was one he doubted heâd regret. He really did not feel like being turned into a mouse on precedence alone. Â
His very slight avoidance of Wynne? That was more an act of self perseverance. Alistair knew he looked like utter crap and doubted he could hold up the facade being fine and dandy in Wynneâs presence.
But fate had never been kind to him, and Skyhold had a way of making you wander around in circles until you hit smack tab into another living being. It was as if everyone nook and corner was taken up by someone he was vaguely familiar with.
So it shouldnât have been surprising when he walked right into her a few days after arriving. Specifically since Alistair had walked into the Maker damned mage tower. Why did all these building look exactly alike?
âAhh, Wynne!â he tugged on a smile. âI apologize for not answering your last letter. Iâve been ratherâŠindisposed. That and Iâve been camping out on the Storm Coast, so the postage system is far from ideal.â Alistair shrugged, as if noting the weather. âWhat are you doing in here? I would have thought youâd be in the library. Unless youâre trying to escape the Grand Enchanter; Iâm not sure if you too get along or not.â
So many young mages whoâd tried to give their lives for saving those around them, wasted and twisted into fuel for a mad false god. This wound in her heart was like watching Uldred turn countless bright futures in a seconds of agony. Wynne was sat down looking out a window, just trying to collect her own thoughts after the last few dayâs incident. How many more futures had to be sacrificed for madmen?
Then she heard it, a bright flash of memory brought by a familiar voice that gave a glimmer of light in her darkening horizons. All the time in the world could pass by Alistair would still have that same burst of light in her heart brought by his masking humor. âIâm sure, not to mention I imagine your penmanship hasnât gotten any better.âÂ
She pushed herself off her chair. âBetween the tension held by her and First Enchanter Vivienne, well I spent enough of my life being the mediator between Libertarians and Loyalists and thought there are better ways of using what time I have left.â She still saw the young man whose hair was a mess and whined about his socks and asked for mendings.
âIt is so good to see you again my friend I wish it was under better circumstances.âÂ
[So here I am doing a fresh playthrough of Origins and thinking I canât wait to do DA 2, then I come to find out I never redownloaded DA 2 to my laptop because it was from the Gamestop App...and now I have to figure out how to get it all redownloaded so I donât have to pay again...or do I just give in and surrender 30 bucks to steam so I can activate it on origin and not have to spend 44 bucks to have all the dlc. There are times I just want to scream at all the game clients in the world but it always comes back to wanting to strangle Origin!]
