i think my favorite ff14 narrative gimmick is that the savage raid unlocks are explicitly just the WOL having adhd daydreams about the cool shit they've done. the omega raids are even explicitly about cid trying to put on an ASMR tibetan meditation spotify playlist to calm them down but the WOL is unmedicated so it really only makes the problem worse

So roofing estimate #1 was $1500.

Roofing estimate #2 is $525. Which is MUCH more reasonable but also we don't have that so. We have to figure out that budget and how to get it scheduled. They don't take payment plans of course but like, can't expect most businesses to do that.

Have referrall for gall bladder removal get to wait for them to call. It's not a sure thing it depends on what the surgeon actually says but I'm pleased that it was like super easy to get said referral.

Guen's vet apt is done. Overall great health she got a medicine shot because she has a sinus thing going on (she's been SO Sneezy).

This was 3 apts in one day today. I'm wiped. I napped real hard between roofer and vet. And that helped a lot (and then we are sonic for dinner so I'm sure I'm going to feel bad later). While my diet has changed to be lower fat and more fiber since staying in the hospital I was just wiped today and so fast food was the answer. Thankfully kain is super adaptable and so making less but also more veggies is working for him. He is like listen if you cook it I will eat it lol.

Next week is mammogram week I get them every year and have since I was like 35 because breast cancer is crazy high in my family and I don't want to risk that even a little bit.

And now I'm off to video game and wait for tonight's CR episode.

FFXIV raids are a major vocal stim hazard to me - I love just blurting out lines like "Webs... LIKE UNTO CHAINS!" or "A PACK OF WOLVES" or "I am the Emissary, and I shall never die" apropos of nothing whenever I'm in a period where I'm actively playing the game.

everyone likes to make jokes about how huge and unusable the FFXIV settings are but the unfortunate truth is that that's kind of just what you need to have a large number of actually useful settings. like they could definitely do better at labeling (and it desperately needs, though I"m unsure the backend could accommodate, some kind of search), but it's also straight up the most powerful set of settings and tools a game has ever offered me i think

like this tiny slice of the sound panel alone is better than 99.99% of computer games. absolute gamechanger that nothing else even comes close to matching.
