What’s your blog title from?

Well, to be broken down: Harlem/Horror. When thinking about the grittiness of any particular place, the city of Harlem, New York might come to mind. So, the grittiness of horror, the basics of horror. This blog was always intended to be dedicated to my favorite horror character of all time: Samara Morgan. However, only so much could be said...so I had to expand it. Therefore, I did.

Latest movie? What did you think?

Damn, I watch movies all of the time. One would not think that I would have the time, what with my workload and my other interests (WRITING!). But, in the theaters, my last movie was 'The Odyssey'. I made my soulmate read this in class when I home schooled her because it had always been one of my favorites. Damon did it justice! It definitely resonates w/ the times.

What are you looking forward to right now?

Two things, really: Getting my novel finished and published. This has been one hell of a long ride... And our upcoming trip to Chicago (for numerous sightseeing snippets, including the land where "The Murder Castle" had been built).

If you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

I was trying to go swimming today, but that fucking fizzled. I LOVE the rain, but really?! today?!

Drink of choice?

I need to drink more water. I know this. But I am a coffee addict. Starbucks has made millions off of me alone.

Hair routine?

Styling it in the morning? Depends on the day! Usually down, though I have been a little bit of everywhere. Shower? Pantene Repair has been in the shower for a bit bcuz this new atmosphere is making it fuzzy!!

Favorite way to travel? Is there another you want to try?

I have been on planes, trains, buses, cabs... But I love the control of a car ride! I can stop where I want, listen to what I want, do what I want! Car ride all the way!!

Favorite month and why?

October all of the way!! I AM ALSO A SPOOKY BITCH. I love autumn - I cannot express that enough. And my favorite holiday! Oh yeah, I am all about it!!

Favorite time of day and why?

I love the night. I always enjoy the times when I can actually take time to enjoy the quiet/solitude of the night. Unfortunately, having to pay bills means that I usually wake up early in the morning.

Do you play or follow any sports?

I love watching wrestling and basketball! I love playing basketball! Is skateboarding considered a sport? I could watch boarders all day long.

What kind of music has been stuck in your head lately?

My musical tastes are diverse, to say the least. But my favorite musician as of late is Yungblud. I was just at a concert w/ my soulmate. He was fucking epic!! My favorite artist of all time, however, is Prince. And will always be Prince.

Dishes or laundry?

I do both. I do not know that that was ever a choice for me. It sounds like I am complaining (bcuz I am) but, if I am being honest, the amount of control - of things being exactly the way that I want them to be - is too tempting for me to not take over.

Something you learned recently?

If you learn anything about me, then you will learn that I am a Charles Manson -phile. (True crime is a kink of mine, period!) Everybody has their own (wrong) interpretation of what happened here, but hint: (if you are actually interested in the truth) look closer at Linda Kasabian. Judas is not as innocent as she would like for us to think!

What would you talk about if you could give a TED talk on anything?

My three biggest passions: music, the rights of animals, and the rights of children. Mistakes that I have made would be the icebreaker but then I would go into what I have learned and what I believe.

I would give a lecture series on how Darby Allin needs to rule the world!

Piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

My children would say that I have my infamous "sayings". One has always been "You cannot fix a problem until you admit that you have one."

Piece of advice you would give yourself five years ago?

You are the shit! Many have told you this, but how about telling yourself?! Stop trying to live for what others think and pay more attention to what you think - about your own freakin' life!!

Do you believe in luck and superstitions? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any rituals?

I am superstitious (and paranoid) to a fault. The only popular superstition that I do not ride with is black cats being bad luck! No cat could be bad luck even if they tried. (Again, animal rights!) I am superstitious to the point that I will not let anyone talk about what bad thing could happen if we did such and such. I call it "putting shit in the air". Karma is listening! And luck is not always on your side.

Are you musical (play any instruments, sing)? Would you ever perform for an audience?

I play guitar! I love my guitar! My guitar is one of my best friends!! I am self-taught (both acoustic and electric, tho acoustic is my favorite by and far). I did play bass clarinet in high school - those were funky times!!

Write, type or speak?

All 3? Innately, I am a writer. It is what I was born to do. But sometimes things just go quicker if you speak it out.

What do you wish someone would ask you?

I had an incredibly abusive childhood. Don't ask for those details. But do ask what I learned during those times and how I have used those lessons during my whole life.

It's just a damn shame that Chris had to take so long in order to catch on to Rose's. Talk about villainesses - DAMN!

Lilo & Stitch star Daveigh Chase's cause of death revealed days after she died at 35

Although it happened two weeks ago, my heart has not been ready to deal with it. As one of her biggest fans, this death has consumed me. Needless to say, it's heartbreaking.

How much is a bride supposed to take exactly? I never knew that the end of the road through foster care was aimed at being murdered on your wedding night. Neither did Grace, who really should have taken a second look at Alex. And all to appease someone named "Le Bail"? Hide-and-seek just isn't worth it.
