Don’t tell Mama
Amity ‘Amma’ Crellin + character tropes
“I particularly mourn the lack of female villains — good, potent female villains. […] I’m talking violent, wicked women. Scary women. Don’t tell me you don’t know some. The point is, women have spent so many years girl-powering ourselves — to the point of almost parodic encouragement — we’ve left no room to acknowledge our dark side. Dark sides are important.” — Gillian Flynn
I like violence, she’d shrieked at me. I blame my mother. A child weaned on poison considers harm a comfort.
Sharp Objects (2018) Falling / Milk
@bowiebranflake alright so I did some research and yes there were about two hours of unused footage (the original ran about four hours long).
Unfortunately, Stanley Kubrick had all unused footage destroyed (Kubrick you bitch how dare you!)
Seriously though, in his defense though, he might have done that due to all the backlash and blame that came from the public after the movie was released but that is not confirmed, merely a suspicion.
However I was able to find a few pictures from deleted scenes!
^those are most likely from the scene in the book where Alex and his droogs attack some scholar dude (I think that’s who he was) and rip up all the books he was carrying.
^and that one is the scene from the book where Alex and the droogs are bribing the old baboochkas at the Duke Of New York so they act as alibis
So that’s what I got! I would pay an absurd amount of money to see the deleted scenes but unfortunately it’s impossible to do so.
Ready Player One (2018) meets The Shining (1980)
What kind of a princess are you?
If you ask me, anti-heroes are the most interesting characters in any form of writing.
