People be swearing up and down that you can’t ship Joker/Harley because it’s abusive and romanticizing abuse but when it’s Ivy/Harley they be silent as fuck.

Ivy has physically attacked Harley and thought about killing her, reduced her to tears, and verbally berated her. 

That said I don’t have an issue with the ships (I ship both Harley and Ivy, along with Harley and Joker), just hypocrisy. Antis try to shut down Joker/Harley by calling it abusive, calling the shippers abuser/abuse apologists, that they’re romanticizing abuse, etc. yet are totally silent and ignore the abusive implications of Harley/Ivy, and more often than not, shippers of Harley/Ivy who shut down people who ship Harley/Joker romanticize the abusive between Harley and Ivy while accusing Harley/Joker shippers of being romanticizers.

Not sure I agree with all the stuff in the Livejournal analysis, but the comics cited do illustrate a pretty nasty willingness to condemn one jerk and give another jerk a pass just because she’s female.
