Once he had caught Harley in his arms, Joker straightened to his full height, effectively bringing Harley a few inches off the ground. He then swung her around in a complete circle before setting her down, releasing her from his embrace.
Joker smiled cheekily down at the woman standing before him. His hand rose up to caress her face for a fleeing moment, then latch onto one of the pompoms on her cowl to yank it, and her, downward slightly.
"Don’t go running off like that again, pumpkin." He tsked at her, then frowned. "Who knows what coulda happened to ya, hm? Where were you?”
"Aw, don't be mad Mistah J," Harley said. The blond looked up at him and smiled. She was uncertain if she was actually in trouble or not. "I've just been playin' with Red. Tryin' to cheer her up. There was this new plant she was tryin' to put in to the city. It was called Cloro- Carlo-" She tried to remember the title. "Some weird name like that." But gave up.
"But it totally bombed." She made a raspberry sound and stuck out her tongue. "She was pretty upset by the whole thing," the young woman paused. "It hasn't been that long has it, Puddin'?" she asked sheepishly. Harely wasn't sure how long it had been. She was never very good at keeping track of time. Well, not when she was having fun.
