“Fuckin’ beautiful. I. knew I liked you for a reason.” Krishna grinned, taking their phone out of their pocket to respond to a few messages while driving to pick up her kids. Having kids themselves was never really a thought. They were busy just living their life, enjoying the last of their twenties. They’d be find with mooching off someone else’s children where they could hand them back at the end of the day.
Once the pair got to Harlow’s car, the drive to pick up the girls began. “I said maybe, don’t go getting your hopes up just yet.” She chuckled, shaking her head. Keeping her eyes on the road as she drove, Harlow found herself wondering how she’d ended up here, so far from the plan she’d had for her life. It was no secret to her family that she was struggling to handle everything on her own, but she did a good job of hiding just how bad it was. It didn’t take long for Harlow to navigate her way to Hudson’s house, and as she pulled up outside the front door, she looked over at Krishna. “I wasn’t kidding about you waiting in the car. I’ll be two seconds.” She said before getting out of the car to walk up to the door. Her brother met her there with the girls, who were excited to see their mother but even more excited when they spotted Krishna in the car. Harlow thanked her brother and gave him a hug before walking back to the car to get the kids buckled in. “Okay,” She said once she was back in the drivers seat, “who wants to stop for ice cream on the way home?”
