“Marvin?” He asked, finally looking up to her face. As she explained, he nodded slowly and let his eyes fall back down to her hips. When they got to the kitchen, he leaned against the counter, smiling at her as their fingers touched when she handed him the bottle. “Thanks, ma'am.” He said, drinking most of the water in the first big gulp. Closing the bottle and leaving it on the counter, he walked closer to her, his gaze now on her lips. It seemed like it had been ages since that time they made out, and Matty was dying to do it again. “Oh, they’re nothing compared to Jason and Johnny– My nephews. Seriously, they were great. They even thanked me when I bought them ice cream.” Smirking, he bit his lip. “What about you, Mrs. Kennedy? How was your day?”
Harlow was genuinely surprised to hear that her children had behaved. It wasn't like they were awful kids or anything, but since she and Judd split they had been a bit more unruly than usual. It was even getting hard to take them to the store withot one of them throwing a temper tantrum over a toy Harlow refused to buy them. "Wow. They must really, really, like you. I mean, I make them an entire meal every night and the most I get is a 'meh'." Harlow noticed his lingering gaze and knew exactly what he was thinkng about, because she was thinking about the exact same thing. Not that she'd admit it or even acknowledge that fact that they made out only a few weeks ago. "My day was fine. Filled with boring paperwork as usual, but I'm off tomorrow, so that's a bonus. Actually-- I wanted to talk to you about something."
