does anyone have any weird/traumatizing stories as a kid that they associate with total drama now
Iāll go first, when i was like 8 i was at a CiCiās pizza watching the Yukon episode with headphones on and i started getting major heartburn, then i started sobbing because I thought it was a heart attack
Iām finally back for like 3 weeks max what have i missed
I really just posted my ārating total drama platformsā and dipped, but when i came back apparently some shit happened with total drama youtubersš§i really shouldāve looked into it more instead of using my own short-lived personal experience,, sorry if i sounded like an apologist or something
even though I have a tumblr account literally dedicated to total drama, I cant help but feel super fucking embarrassed when I hear people talk about total drama irl

The producers at Fresh woke up one day and decided to ruin everyoneās character consistency
Things i remember from when tdpi premiered:
- the colorless black and white promo picture of the contestants came out and people made all sorts of recolors of it. Iām p most topher recolors were jfk clone high
- back when the colorless post came out people shipped scarlett with shawn because they thought shawn would be like this cool skater/junkie and scarlett would be a shy timid nerdy girl
- ACTUALLY months before it premiered, i think even as all stars was airing its last episodes someone leaked the first episodeās storyboard and we all got ahold of it.
- based on the recent storyboard people started shipping ella with jasmine bc ppl thought it would be cute (princess girl/strong knight girl) but the other half of the populars were like āSTOP SHIPPING WOC WITH WHITE GIRLS!ā They then proceeded to ship jasammy once tdpi premiered and bash everyone who DID NOT ship it (also a good ship but sammy is also a white girl lol)
- dave. Oh dave. Oh my goodness dave. Mike discourse 2.0 except the populars LIKED him. They would excuse anything dave did like āHES MENTALLY ILL WHY DO YOU HATE MENTALLY ILL PPL WHO RELATE TO HIMā as if they had not done the same with mike td a couple of months ago. Idc abt this discourse anymore but back in the day the way he obsessed over sky and wanting to date her despite her saying no made a lot of ppl feel kinda nasty.
- idk why ppl hated ella sm. I guess she was annoying to some. Usually these ppl were sugar stans. Or maybe itās just how unrealistic the characters were this season that made her kind of unlikable. I liked her tho she was sweet.
- lu had a leonard ask blog from when the storyboard was leaked and made a post once it premiered. A (non black) popular called them out for using aave bc āLEONARD DOESNT TALK LIKE THIS WE KNOW WHY UR MAKING HIM TALK LIKE THIS THOā and lu had to reblog and remind the popular that they in fact were black.
- there were some...VERY toxic topher stans who would straight up make him a homophobic stereotype when he didnt rlly...act like that? The gwanon/sierra blog was friends w them and would submit anti bullying psaās to ppl who would call out the toxic topher stan for telling people to drink bleach.
- sugar would get a lot of hate as well and a lot of it had to do w her being fat. Yoinks. Iirc there was a side that actually rlly liked and they were the ones receiving sugar hate/criticism. A lot of it did have to do w her being ānastyā
- when the finale premiered, sky using dave did not sit well with The Boys and they would draw torture porn of her getting wedgies and being beaten for āmaking dave cryā
- jashawn fanbase was like a peaceful place to be in because everyone was just having fun w the ship. A ship everyone agreed with at the time.
