As soon as I saw John William Godward's painting, I immediately thought of Ashara Dayne and got to work. I'm really proud of this art

It wasn't Harren, Arya wanted to say, it was me. She had killed Chiswyck with a whisper, and she would kill two more before she was through. I'm the ghost in Harrenhal, she thought. And that night, there was one less name to hate. â A Clash of Kings - Arya VII

SANSA STARK WEEK 2025
âł Day 5: Fairytales | Songs | Prayers (cr.)
"Queen, you are full fair, 'tis true. But Snow-white fairer is than you." This gave the queen a great shock, and she became yellow and green with envy, and from that hour her heart turned against Snow-white, and she hated her. And envy and pride like ill weeds grew in her heart higher every day, until she had no peace day or night. At last she sent for a huntsman, and said, "Take the child out into the woods, so that I may set eyes on her no more. You must put her to death, and bring me her heart for a token."
Snow-White, the Brothers Grimm
The huntsman consented, and led her away; but when he drew his cutlass to pierce Snow-white's innocent heart, she began to weep, and to say, "Oh, dear huntsman, do not take my life; I will go away into the wild wood, and never come home again." And as she was so lovely the huntsman had pity on her, and said, "Away with you then, poor child."

I donât usually care for show!verse SanSan but I absolutely love the difference in how Sophie delivers the two âYou wonât hurt me.â lines. The first time, when she says that to Sandor in the staircase, she says it in an almost daring âYou canât touch me because youâll get in trouble.â way. Like sheâs trying to convince herself that Sandor canât hurt her to make herself less nervous. But the second time, at the Battle of Blackwater, she says âYou wonât hurt me.â with a sort of breathy awe in her voice like for the first time sheâs realizing that Sandor can hurt her but he wonât, like sheâs seeing for the first time that heâs not just a scary, mean man but someone who is a lot like her who has also been abused and hurt by the same people. It breaks my heart because this is the first time in a long time that someone has had the power to hurt her and has chosen not to, and we hear that in her voice.
Itâs also signifiant how Sandor responses to that line both times. In both scenes, that line makes Sandor pause for a moment, because Sansa is calling him on his bluff but he doesnât know how to say why he cares about her, he doesnât even understand why himself. In the staircase, Sandor doubles down on his âGrr, grr, I am very scary.â act by shaking Sansaâs arm a little and demanding in a harsher tone that she sing. But at the Battle of Blackwater, after his pause, Sandor says in an awed, gentle tone that echoes Sansaâs âNo, little bird, I wonât hurt you.â. That was as close to a love confession as we got, in my opinion. It was at least a confession that Sandor isnât as callous as he pretends to be and that he cares about Sansa.
Itâs not specific to only these two scenes but we also see a stark difference (no pun intended) in how âLittle Birdâ goes from a mocking nickname to a genuine term of endearment between these two scenes.
