(@descendant-of-saporia is my rp blog) “ stop apologizing , okay ?? i’ve already told you i’ve forgiven you a hundred times now . ”
@descendant-of-saporia hope you don’t mind that I chose my oc cause you didn’t say a character!)
“I haven’t forgiven myself” Naomi replied simply, looking away. “I let you down, I always let you and everyone else down.”
“Naomi. its fine. it isnt even your fault.” aella put a hand on Naomi's shoulder. aella had ended up in a whole other timeline and they were trying to get her home. the first few attempts failed.
“But I promised I’d get you home...” Naomi replied with a sigh, picking up a book once more. They weren’t good at this stuff, it wasn’t their usual role and yet here they were, so out of their depth. “All I’ve done is make it worse.”
“naomi. its fine. we’ve only tried, like, five times!” she smiles brightly. “do you know anyone who knows a bit more about this kind of a thing?”
“Not anymore...” Naomi replied quietly, thinking for a second before moving to a small chest and taking out a set of journals wrapped in string. “But her journals might have something.”
she looks over their shoulder. her longish brown hair fell over her shoulder as she tried to read. “what does it say? im sorry. i can only read coronan and old saporian.
“It’s ok.” Naomi replied, skipping a few pages “Most of it is her memories and stuff, there’s a few pages on other stuff like here.” Naomi replied, stopping on a page that had a red spot in the corner “She tagged important stuff in case we were seperated.” Naomi added, reading over the page. “When people are displaced, in either timeline or period, a door is created somewhere important...she doesn’t say who its important to.”
“well, saporia and corona are where ive lived during my life. do you have a map? i could try to find an equivalent in this world to those kingdoms.” she says.
“It’s a good place to start, give a second.” Naomi replied, looking threw one of the piles of papers until they found a map. “Here,” They replied, passing the map.
“thank you,” she nods, taking the map from them. she points to Germany. “corona is around here. its much smaller though. probably on the coast.” she points to France. “a small part of that is saporia. the two kingdoms in between it and the parallel to corona are just ocean.”
“Ok, so pretty close together, good thing we’re on a ship.” Naomi replied, taking a pen and circling where aella pointed. “Which one to you want to visit first?”
“i have better memories in corona.” she shudders. “lets go there first.” she sits down. “yeah. the kingdoms united once, then some of saporia broke off just before i was born.”
Naomi nodded “Makes sense that it might be there.” They put the journals back in the chest, stopping for a moment to look at the picture. “Lets go to the bridge.”
she perked up. “thats the bridge that connects the rural parts of corona with the main city.”
“Wrong kind of bridge.” Naomi replied after a moment, leading the way. “I don’t think there’s a linking bridge in this world.”
“hm.. is there a town square where this is?” she asks. she ties her hair back with a red ribbon
“Yeah there is.” Naomi replied as the two got to the ships bridge. “Is that the best place to start?”
“yeah. im constantly in the square. its the busiest part of town” she says, following along with naomi.
Naomi nodded, sitting in a chair near the front of the ship. “Sit here, we’ll be there in a second”
she sits as well and looks out at the ocean. a look of unease crosses her face
"You ok?" Naomi asked, taking their hands off the controls.
she shakes her head to snap out of it. “yeah. just some bad memories having to do with ships.” she sighs.
Naomi nodded "It's ok, this ones been through a lot, it can take almost anything." They pulled up on the control, lifting the ship into the air. Withing a few minutes, Naomi landed the ship near the square.
she seems a bit put off by the flying, but adjusts quickly. she stands up after it lands.
Naomi got up as well, leading the way out but stopping infront of a chair. They looked at a jacket placed on the chair, feeling the fabric for a few seconds before putting it on and carrying on to the doors of the ship. "Its probably going to be different, it's going to be a nightmare to find the door."
she sighs. she steps off the ship and looks around. the square is busy. she turns quickly back and forth to take it all in. her black skirt moves along with her.
"Is there anything you recognize?" Naomi asked, looking around as well. It was a little overwhelming, but Naomi was used to that by now. They quickly put in headphones on one side, allowing music to play through them.
“i gue-” she cuts herself off and runs over to naomi, looking at the headphones. “what are those?” she asks
"headphones, they play music." Naomi replied, holding one side out to her. "Here, put this in your ear."
she hesitantly put it in her ear and smiled at the upbeat music playing. “cool!”
"I know right!" Naomi replied with a smile, taking out the music device from their pocket, showing the screen. "Scroll through and pick something you like the look of."
she did so and ended up picking out this song. he starts to dance in place. she giggles
Naomi laughed at the song choice “Good choice.”
she smiles. “i just liked the picture.” she keeps dancing in place.
Naomi nodded “Yeah the pictures cool.” They looked around once more, gently to make sure that the headphones didn’t fall out.
it was a busy marketplace. aella seemed right at home
"We should probably start looking." Naomi replied. They were not perfectly at home, a little uncomfortable and overwhelmed but it wasn't too bad. They could appricate the atmosphere and view.
“yeah i guess so.” she nods. she starts to looks around again and starts to wander.
“What was this town like for you?” Naomi asked, following aella as they wondered.
“the square is where id usually meet up with friends. very few people lived in a the capitol actually. they just made the trip daily.”
"That's cool, do you have a lot a of friends at home?"
“no, not really. mainly just one.” she shrugs.
“Oh...I only really had one friend too.” Naomi replied with with a small smile.
she nods and smiles.
“I’m guessing the door is likely to be in a building or something, notice anywhere important to you?” Naomi asked, looking at the buildings around them.
her eyes land on a castle. “that looks like the palace!” she smiles
“Do you want to look there?” Naomi asked, following her gaze to the castle
“sure!” she starts to walk in the direction of the castle.
Naomi followed, quickly checking on her phone the place. They were lucky, it was free entry and open to the public, although they knew there was a chance that an important room would be closed off and that they may have to come back at a later time.
aella walks in. she looks around at the bright halls.
Naomi smiled a little as she looked around the halls, it was wonderful. She looked for any door that seemed our of place, taking a map from the enterance to help
