Hey everyone! Iâm still not caught up on replies what else is new but hereâs what I owe:
HARPER; ximena, miles, ryan, adrienne, liam, jack, zeke & amelio
MORGAN; jack, hughÂ
LEVI; miles, catalinaÂ
I lost motivation for replies tonight but Iâll be lurking the rest of the night and will hopefully catch up tomorrow.Â
neslyn-novakâ:
âThis is me,â Neslyn nodded as she glanced up at the building before them. âThank you,â she cooed, âWell, itâs not going anywhere anytime soon, so you have all the time in the world to come visit.â The blonde turned her attention back to Harper, âHow long have you been back?â She asked curiously. âLetâs see, itâs been about five years now? I started off small, I wasnât too sure how well itâd take but itâs been great.â
âJust since mid July.â she explained, though she didnât say why. She never brought up her mother unless she could help it though, she knew that she had to mention it sometime. âItâs perfect for the town though, I mean I can just imagine the cute stuff you have.â
miralerouxâ:
âWell, if I had a cat I would probably be willingly watching them but I have a ten year old who loved the franchise when it first came out. He still loves them and more specifically the penguins. I think he loves them more than the rest because he also likes to tinker and fix things,â Mira explained. âThough, I canât say he forced me because I was just as excited to watch them,â she mused. âOh, it looks like weâll both be fighting over it,â she teased. The blonde quirked a brow, looking over at Harper. âOh, I need to hear some of this tales now.â
âI love it, how olds your son?â she asked with a grin, she didnât have the excuse of a kid to watch kids movies but then again, she didnât think she needed one in general. She loved them, and would often spend her spare time sketching the disney characters in different styles. âIâll do a lot for fries trust me,â she teased, trying to think of a few stories she had thought of when she was a child. âWell, I did manage to convince all the kids in town to avoid one of these creepy houses on the edge of town... because they thought a womanly like figure was haunting the house... who happened to look like Mrs. Henderson from the Grocers.â
ariellexkaneâ:
âWill we?â Arielle didnât want to rain on her parade but Madison felt more like place that bore the go to college to find a husband mentality; not the go and be free vibes. âTheyâre a dying breed here, Harper. I wonât say they donât exist but weâve got a whole heap of men in this town that have heads filled of corn.âÂ
She thought about it for a moment, âWell, the empowerment of women part. Iâm going to make sure of it, I started it when I went to school here and well, I like causing chaos.â she amended, chuckling a little. â...Thatâs the downside to returning home, I guess. Maybe itâll be good to have a break... like, a detox.â
latinxfirefighterâ:
âGuess luck wasnât in your favor, huh?â he assumed that she went there as some kind of surprise visit, but that was the bad part about not telling them youâre going, you donât know if they will really be there, âHow can I say no to that? A BLT and fries, is impossible to decline,â he knew that she was a stranger, but he decided to take the risk, âMy mom would hate what Iâm doing, since Iâm accepting food from a stranger.â
âNever is,â she replied good-naturedly, her grin still unwavering despite the minor setback. Yet, his comment caused the smile to slide off her lips as she put on her best Patrick Bateman impression. Remaining completely deadpan ( how she managed she had no idea ) she looked him dead in the eye, âMaybe that was my plan all along, your moms right this is a trap and you fell into it.â she replied, before the grin fought its way to the surface and she extended a hand to shake his, âIâm Harper.â
nicolaxdelucaâ:

âHey, donât let any of those little dickheads make you feel like you arenât good at your job, Harp.â Nicola gave her a look as she placed a glass in front of her, picking up a bottle and pouring her a glass. âYou worked your ass off for this position and to be fair we were all asshole teenagers at some point⊠Maybe beinâ an asshole back will work. I know you got it in ya.â
âNo, they were great but... they just are so much more sophisticated then I was at that age.â she replied, knowing there was a grace to the current generation of teenage girls that she never hoped to achieve. She grinned at the womanâs comment, âI definitely still have the asshole traits.â
ryanxharperâ:
Ryan couldnât imagine living in a place like New York. He thought his previous location was hard enough initially, even moving out to Kentucky for culinary school. Anything outside of Madison was a shock to say the least. He gave her a small smile in return, nodding his head. âNo, it wouldnât.â Ryan paused a minute, running a hand through his hair. âI mean,â he inhaled deeply at what he was about to say. âI didnât think weâd be like this,â he hesitated again, âyou know? When I heard you came back? I thought Iâd be angry forever and well,â he shook his head, âi know things arenât the same as before but, Iâm - Iâm glad we can talk.â
She paused when he admitted the same things that had been plaguing her own thoughts since her return, something that was now more permanent then she had realised when she initially returned to Madison. âMe either,â she admitted quietly, not quite meeting his eyes. She knew deep down she couldâve rung him and they wouldâve been fine somehow, but the distance felt too big between them. Insurmountable. Until, now it seemed. âBut, me too. I deserved the anger, i was...â she sighed, âI applied for RISD on a lark and didnât think Iâd get in, my grades were average you know this. But, when I did I was so scared to tell you and I didnât even know why..â she sighed softly, âI know things canât be like they were, but for what itâs worth. Iâm sorry. And Iâm sorry itâs taken a damn decade for me to come back. Iâm glad we can talk as well, I missed you.â
adriennedizâ:
âThat sounds really interesting.â She said with a smile as it seemed evident that the brunette was passionate about her class which was the most interesting thing about it. âIs this what you do for a living or is it more of a passtime?â She questioned with a tilt of her head, wondering if one could make a living by doing this.Â
"Uh, living now I guess. Itâs new, I was just freelancing before in New York and not very well.â she replied with a grin. âWhat about you, what do you do? If you donât mind me asking?â
averyxrobinsonâ:
Avery nodded her head along to Harperâs words. âThatâs,â she paused, âthatâs nice of you to stick around and help out.â Which she meant. Itâs what siblings were for, right? She wouldnât know. Her parents were only able to have her at the time. âItâs nice you can stay and help out.â Avery added with a smile, âOh, really?â She was surprised that Harper took a job teaching. Though, how could she know what the woman was interested in after all these years of not speaking to one another? âIâm- Iâm glad she could recommend you for a job over there. What are you teaching?â She asked with a smile to the womanâs words, nodding her head, âI do love my kids, seven years down in kindergarten.â
"Theyâre family,â she admitted, shrugging a little. Whilst her mother and she had never seen eye to eye she couldnât bring herself to leave her family deal with the aftermath of her passing. There was so much to go through, and her father was lost without the woman heâs spent almost forty years of his life with.âArt, the upperclassmen. Itâs pretty interesting so far, the kids and their scope itâs ... incredible. I never had that level when I was their age, I swear.â
jacksdunnitâ:
âWhy donât you get one of those pointers that is on the back of a pen or something?â He insisted, shaking his head. âSo it was not having batteries for the controller then,â Jack began, âNot the ancient technology at the school?â Jack laughed as she insisted that his day be better than hers. It wasnât all that much better. âWell, I certainly didnât have a bunch of kids watchinâ me walk back and forth between my desk and the projector screen,â he joked casually before shrugging. âIt was okay, all the horses are gettinâ some time off after the shows so itâs been kind of nice.âÂ
"...Thatâs too logical Jack, but it was my first day! Give me a day to wallow in my little sulk that my day didnât go as planned.â she grinned, âNope, definitely the operators lack of prep and not the technology failing. Though I repel that sometimes,â she admitted, the only technology that she didnât manage to break was her iPad. âI need to come by, I havenât since I left I missed it. Howâd the shows go?â
liamstuxrtâ:
Liam chuckled softly. âI kinda doubt that,â he murmured. He laughed. âSo either way, I should be careful, huh?â he said, smiling at him. He raised his eyebrows. âYou used to make up serial killers?â he repeated. âLike what?â He frowned a little and shook his head. âNo, I donât think I do,â he said. âBut if I see any taffeta Iâll be sure to run in the other direction.â
"Well, with her...yes. 100%.â she replied with a cheeky grin, wrinkling her nose a little in response. She shrugged at his question, âOver active imagination, runs amok in a young kid, I wasnât going out killing at least.â she admitted, âBut, yeah sometimes to scare my younger brother and sister. It would backfire it bit, but sometimes it really did scare the hell out of âem.â she chuckled. âTheyâre just intense. I was supposed to be one, donât think Iâd pull off the taffeta look though.â
