Ngl, I started watching the Pitt while it aired in season one and stopped mid-way through because I wanted to see how things played out. More than 8 episodes on streaming? Seasons being filmed in a decent timeframe? All seemed a bit too good to be true. And I was right.
Like, yay, we get 15 episodes a season. A miracle in the streaming hellscape. But the thing I like about full season, long-running shows is being able to get attached to characters. So that when they leave or die, I feel something. The exits on something like Grey's Anatomy hurt because you care. Because characters had time and space to develop.
The Pitt is telling you not to get attached to characters, and I find that a major writing problem while they are trying to pitch how different they are as a streaming show. To me it's not different. It's the same old not wanting tv to be tv.
