December 2021’s Top Ten.

Here is my top ten favourite kpop releases of December 2021! I will not be including any Christmas songs released as I have a separate Christmas kpop list and some of the ones released this year are planed to be included in next years Christmas list.

1: Pirate by EVERGLOW.

A fantastic girl power song! Seriously jam out to this track if you want to feel like a powerful woman. Can we also agree that this is Onda’s era like she look phenomenal.

2: ELEVEN by IVE.

Ooooooooo WHAT A DEBUT. So glad to have Yujin and Wonyoung back.

3: 5 in the morning by WOO JEE WON.

A nice chill early morning type song. I listen to songs like this one on the bus early in the morning on my way to work.

4: Need U by SUPER JUNIOR-D&E

I absolutely love the style of this MV how it actually shows the real moments between the two. It was super cute to see.

5: The Bha Bha Song - We Baby Bears Theme by TRI.BE.

This one is the theme song to a cartoon but oh boy is it super freaking catchy. If you check this one out expect it to get stuck in your head.

6: Call Me by PIXY.

At first I was concerned that PIXY was changing their concept and I adore their concept so much. Do not fear though I have been reassured that this was just a special song that the members wanted to do with a cute concept. These girlies can do whatever the hell they want.

7: THOUGHT OF YOU Ft, JAY B by Ourealgoat.

I can not stress this enough if you see JAY B’s name on any track you NEED to check it out even if it’s just a collab because this song is … chef’s kiss 💋.

8: Dreams Come True by aespa.

Well I asked aespa to release something this month and well here we are. As soon as the chorus kicked in I went wait isn’t this S.E.S’s song? And whAt a great cover! I have begun to have a reappraisal of the original and a new love.

9: Shark by OH MY GIRL.

Yet another catchy song.

10: JUICE Ft, Rian and JayB by IIIBOI.

This one is great dance track with an absolutely hard hitting beat. I recommend you check this one out.

Merry Kpop Christmas!

Here is a list of ten songs that I believe to a must for any holiday playlist. Happy holidays everyone ❤️

1: The Carol 2.0 by LOONA.

Both versions of this song are great and work well for the holidays, I personally prefer this version for the holidays as it feels a little more festive then the original.

2: Miracles in December by EXO.

THE VOCALS!!!! Lord have mercy this one is absolute MUST. It is utter perfection.

3: Dear Santa by Girls Generation.

From one SM vocal group to another and another must listen. I personally would have made three versions of this song. One with more of the opening sound, a second with the rest of the song after “let’s go”, and then this one. But that’s just me.

4: Merry & Happy by TWICE.

This one reminds me of every Christmas morning with my family sitting in our warm PJS by the fireplace chatting while mom makes French toast. Ahhhh

5: Christmassy! By THE BOYZ.

It’s a perfect song for a Christmas Dance party. Add to that the music video is super CUTE.

6: My Turn To Cry by EXO.

Remember what I said about the last EXO Christmas song. Ya this one too only sadder. Good luck not crying.

7: Forever by aespa.

This song made me want to make this list. I know it’s a cover but I just love it so much. I can and do literally listen to any time of year but especially at Christmas time. I really hope aespa will release something again this year but who knows.

8: What I Want For Christmas by EXO.

I repeat UTTER PERFECTION!!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaaa. 😭

9: Shhhh by TAEYEON.

A sexy Christmas song. Yesssssss. Hehehehe 😈💜🖤💜🖤

10: This Christmas by TAEYEON.

Such a sweet song and music video. This music video also has IVE’s member LIZ in it too.

+ Butter (Holiday Remix) by BTS.

Not including this one on the list I just wanted to share a cute story. In real life I’m a teacher and I play music for my students every time we have a transition period. This can hype them up or relax them depending on where I need them to be for the next activity. So I went to put on some relaxing Christmas songs for the kids, but I had apparently left this song playing on my headphones so once I turned on my speaker this started blasting through my room. And I kid you not my whole class screamed. “THATS BUTTER!” “I LOVE BUTTER” “PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PLAY THIS ONE”. Boy do love those kiddos. I promised to play more kpop for them when we get back. 💕

November 2021’s Top Ten!

Here is my top ten favourite kpop releases of November 2021!

1: Beautiful Breakup by LUNA.

Hands up if you wish this was a real group and not a fictional one made up for a drama. ✋

2: MAKE YOU DANCE by ADORA & EUNHA.

What a wonderful debut. This song is so fun and definitely succeeds in making me dance. Also I love ADORA’s whole look, the track cover, as seen above, really sold me on checking this one out.

3: Sweet Travel by VICTON.

I listen to this song every morning now because I find it to be the perfect song to start the day with in order to create positive vibes. I also sent this track to my co-worker to check out and she is in LOVE!

4: ONION by MIN Ft, Suk Hoon Chang.

Ahhhhhh welcome back MIN, we are soooooo excited for you debut as a soloist and if this pre debut is anything to show for it we know the album WILL be amazing.

5: COSMOS by B.I.

If you were not in love with B.I and his phenomenal music you will be with this. Always trust B.I to give us BEAUTIFUL music that speaks to our souls. 💖

6: I’m a B by Hwa Sa.

I …. Um…………… YES GODDESS!!!!!! Insta love. Hwa Sa is EVERYTHING! But we knew this.

7: Killing Me by CHUNG HA.

Gonna be real honest here I can’t explain what it is about the song or the music video but man do I feel like I relate to this on a mental health note. Regardless it’s a wonderful song.

8: Peaches by KAI.

This man. Just…. Just……. This man is…… ❤️‍🔥 I can’t.

9: BARCODE by lilli lilli.

Welp here’s another rookie girl group I’m gonna have to watch out for. This was a phenomenal debut girls congratulations.

10: Delivery by NATURE.

A super fun track to listen to a dance around. I have enjoyed it throughly.

Here is my top ten favourite kpop releases of October 2021! Happy spooky season everyone!

1: Vibin by Youngjae.

Such a happy track that anyone can’t help but vibe to, no that was not meant as a pun, it’s just the truth.

2: K-POP by BLITZERS.

It’s a head banger; however when you look a the lyrics it’s just incredibly sad. I do love this one though.

3: Bewitched by PIXY.

I know, I know Bewitched is not the title track Addicted is, but I just LOVE Bewitched sooooo much. Don’t get me wrong I love Addicted too, as well as Still with me. Okay let’s be real here I just love PIXY plain and simple.

4: GAIA by CRAXY.

Can we just say GIRL POWER!!

5: Tamed-Dashed by ENHYPEN.

Ohhhhhh ENHYPEN does not miss. My only complaint is that I wish this had been released during summer time as this would have been a fantastic summer track.

6: WOULD YOU RUN by TRI.BE.

Wow okay what is with these new rookie girl groups. They are just killing it. I simply can’t help but sing along to the chorus of this track. absolutely recommend you check it out.

7: Favourite (Vampire) by NCT 127.

Vampires = yes ma’am. Also that chorus is so dame BEAUTIFUL!!!!

8: Black Crown by KINGDOM.

Love the concept, the choreography, the styling, the song, and just the group in general. I also just realized that KINGDOM teases their next MV at the end of their current releases, and I’m here for it.

9: Rock with you by SEVENTEEN.

UTTER PERFECTION !!!!!! Enough said.

10: XOXO by JEON SOMI.

OMG I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. The whole FLIPPING album. Ughhhhhh. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

September 2021’s Top Ten!

Here is my top ten favourite kpop releases of September 2021!

1: Talk & Talk by fromis_9.

Such a cute song! I really enjoyed beginning the month with this wonderful track add to that it was released on my birthday. So YAY!!!!

2: STEREOTYPE by STAYC.

There are two relatively new groups on this list that I have fallen IN LOVE with so much and STAYC is the one of them. They haven’t released any bad tracks yet and I am so proud of them. They also got their first win with this one, so congratulations to these beautiful ladies. They certainly deserve it.

3: Not Friends by LOONA.

I was literally screaming while watching this phenomenal MV. My baby, my Bias actually WOTE this bop HERSELF. On top of that she looked fantastic throughout (they all did really). Ugh truly a gift. You Go Kim Lip!!!!!❤️❤️❤️

4: Move by Team P NATION.

This is from the survival show Loud and this group has yet to debut or even have a name, but if this song is any indication of their talent, I will be expecting great things to come when they do. Especially under P Nation.

5: Zombie by PURPLE KISS.

And here is the second newer group I LOVE! Zombie is… ugh. PERFECTION!!!! I really do love these girls. I highly recommend the WHOLE album guys. Zombie is my favourite but 2pm and ZzZz are a close second and third. 💜

6: Painted%LOVE:) by MEGAMAX.

This a DABUT track ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! This is just absolute perfection. The song, the MV, and the styling. 10/10!

7: PING PONG by HyunA&DAWN.

Admit it we were all waiting for this collaboration to happen, and Oh boy did HyunA and DAWN ever deliver us an absolute BOP. We have been blessed this month.

8: LALISA by LISA.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I just……. I’m so proud. Been waiting for Lisa’s solo since Blackpink debuted. I literally cried. Please also check out her song MONEY it is also a great track.

9: LOCO by ITZY.

Great song. The girls look phenomenal, I especially love Yeji and Ryujin’s hair designs I think it fits them really well and Yuna’s styling was on point during this whole MV.

10: My Universe by Coldplay and BTS.

A collaboration that I was not expecting but was blown away by. Simply beautiful.

August 2021’s Top Twenty Part Two!

There were WAY to many great songs released this month to condense this list to ten so i decided to make it a top twenty for this month. Hope you enjoy.

11: Lo$er=Lo❤️er by Tomorrow X Together.

I don’t know why this song gives me 90’s vibes. Love it all the same It’s the perfect fallow up to 0X1=LOVESONG. They fit well together.

12: WAVE by CIX.

Yet another beautiful song with a motivational message with an equally beautiful music video. Please check this out.

13: a song i like to sing by WH3N.

A nice relaxing song for once. Really nice to listen to and I recommend you check this one out.

14: Make Love Ft, Zion.T by GRAY.

I LOVE the sound of this song. It’s just wonderful take my word for it.

15: FLEX by T1419.

Classical mixed with a rock sound is amazing. FLEX is another head banger that I would recommend. I live for the laugh that plays in this it’s perfect.

16: TRIGGER by VERIVERY.

From one head banger to another. One listen had me going “yup. We’re recommending this one.”

17: SPICY by CL.

GOD I missed CL. Every time she posed about her comeback on Instagram I was sooo excited. Welcome back queen!

18: PROMISE by Everglow.

This one is a UNICEF campaign so please go watch the video and donate if you can.

19: Door by KWON EUN BI.

Spotify actually recommended this song to me and wow am I happy it did. I love the jazz sound it has. The music video is gorgeous too by the way.

20: Queendom by Red Velvet.

Can you believe I almost forgot to have this one on the list because I didn’t write it down. Sigh. Luckily my brain went “wait didn’t queendom come out this month? Why isn’t it on the list. That makes no sense.” Thank you Brain.

1: DUMB DUMB by SOMI.

Girl boss energy with this one. What a way for us to start this month. The chorus is EVERYTHING.

2. After Midnight by ASTRO.

Beautiful positive vibes, we are only meant to have a good time here.

3: CRUSH by ZISU.

ZISU voice is soooooo BEAUTIFUL. This was my first time hearing her work and just ah perfect. 👌🏻❤️

4: Holiday Party by Weeekly.

To the person who recommended I check out Weeekly. Thank you. Holiday party is a great summer time song. Check it out guys.

5: You Can’t Sit With Us by SUNMI.

This music video is a MUST SEE guys. I watched and was just laughing and being confused like “what is going on here”. It’s perfection.

6: Ready Now by KIM WOOJIN.

Oh boy do I love the message in this song so much. Relate to it a little too much but it’s great. I new I was in for a good song when I saw his name on it.

7: Shut Up Crazy Hot by ONEUS.

This is a hardcore head banger. Not what I was expecting with how songs are sounding right now but I love it.

8: Paint Me Naked by TEN.

The song feels like I should only listen to it in private but the music video gives me good time vibes. Either way it fantastic.

9: MANIAC by NCT U.

In the book I’m currently reading and there is this couple where the female is known for being tough and mean and the male just loves every second when she goes off on someone. Every time I read this happen between them in the book my brain plays this song. “She’s a maniac and I love her just like that.” Dame.

10: Summer Or Summer by Hyolyn and DASOM.

Yet another great summer song. These girl are just perfect together and Hyolyn looked just soooo BEAUTIFUL in this music video especially in that jumpsuit look. I want one.

July 2021’s Top Ten!

1: Xtra by AleXa

Oh boy do I love this bop. It is absolutely my favourite from this month. Such confidence!!!

2: Permission to Dance by BTS.

In the words of my co-worker who doesn’t even listen to kpop, “ This song just makes your day better. I don’t know what it is about BTS but they always do that. “. By George I think she’s got it!

3: Weekend by TAEYEON.

A fantastic Friday song to get you through the week. As expected from our beautiful queen.

4: TESSERACT by CIX.

This one is a powerful song. TESSERACT fallows Xtra in my playlist and let me tell you I need a chill song to come after because I have been going a little to hard.

5: BEAM BEAM by JEON SOYEON.

Yet another great song to dance to. A Fun summer song but nothing we shouldn’t expect From our (G)i-dle queen.

6: Rose by D.O.

Simply a beautiful song filled with happiness.

7: Still Dream by KIM WOOJIN.

From one beautiful song to the next. One listen was all it took for me to say “Yup that’s top ten material right there.”

8: KARMA by KINGDOM.

I have fallen HARD from KINGDOM’S whole aesthetic. I loved Excalibur and was super exited for KARMA. I simply can not wait to see what comes next.

9: N.A by Outsider and R.envy.

I couldn’t find any info on this one sadly but I really enjoy it’s relaxed chill vibes. Recommend you check it out.

June 2021’s top ten!

Here are my top ten kpop releases of June 2021. Hope you enjoy!

1: Don’t Fight The Feeling by EXO.

10 years wow that went fast. This song is so fun and it was amazing to have D.O. And Lay back.

2: Alcohol-Free by TWICE.

A nice fun summer time song. Has a nice Karen influence to its sons that makes me want to salsa. 💃❤️❤️💖

3: Moonshot by N.Flying.

Love this song and love the message in it even more. The music video has a nice story line along with some nice visuals too. “ If you wanna change, be not afraid. “ LOVE THIS!!!

4: Vanilla by LIGHTSUM.

This is Cube’s new girl group’s debut song and I really enjoyed the bright, colourful, and sweet concept and am Looking forward to seeing more from these girls.

5: Sneakers by HA SUNGWOON.

If I’d have to describe what happiness sounds like I’d play this song it just makes me smile every time. Also I love his hair !!!!

6: Chi Mat Ba Ram by Brave Girls.

Yet another fun summer time song. The music video made me want to have a beach party with friends but we aren’t aloud. Sigh. I guess I’ll just rewatch the girls instead.

7: Festa by TAESEOK.

Couldn’t find any information on this song and there isn’t a music video for this one. I came across Festa on Spotify and fell madly in love with it. HIGHLY recommend checking it out.

8: Poison by Pink Fantasy.

I just came across these girls this month. As a huge fan of dark concept groups like dreamcatcher and pixy I am kicking myself for not finding them earlier. 💕💕💕💕💕

9: Ready to Love by SEVENTEEN.

Pastel vides are all up in this video matched with a very romantic song. Yet still fun.

10: JACKSON by Woodie Gochild ft. CHANGMO.

You want a good time this is it right down to the amazing sin city inspired music video. I laughed so hard a enjoyed every minute.

May 2021’s Top Ten.

Oh boy this was a difficult one but here it is. This is my top ten favourite Kpop releases of May 2021. 💕💕💕

1: Dun Dun Dance by OH MY GIRL.

Such a fun song with great summer vibes. The album is really good too my favourite song on that is My Doll.

2: BLACK MIRROR by ONEUS.

I was not initially in love with this song but after giving it a few more listen the dododos got me.

3: Next Level by Aespa.

A typical SM song by sounding like two songs in one which some people are not a fan of but I still love this song regardless.

4: Switch it up by Jay B ft, sokodomo.

Ohhhhhhhh boy is this a good song. Naughty but good.

5: Ring Ring by Rocket Punch.

6: Breath Again by BLITZERS.

I really enjoyed the rock sound happening in this song. So powerful.

7: First by Everglow.

All Everglow knows is how to make bops. I can not wait to get my hands on this album this concept is amazing.

8: Butter by BTS.

If BTS releases a song you know it will be in the top tens every time. Also can we talk about Jimin’s hair cuz HOLY COW does he look good 👀💜💜💜💜

9: Whatever by KEEMBO.

I LOVE KEEMBO!!!!! Their sound is amazing. I highly recommend them so much. 💕💕

10: Advice by Taemin.

Today was apparently Kpop day for my mail. My heart is going to explode it’s beating so fast from all the excitement. I got all 3 versions of ENHYPEN’s Border Carnival, both versions of OH MY GIRLS’s DUN DUN DANCE, PIXY’s Bravery, and lastly ITZY’s Guess Who???. Wow am I one happy lady.

April 2021’s Top Ten.

This is my top ten favourite kpop releases of April 2021. Enjoy 💖💖

1: Water Color by Whee In.

This is a song you listen to start your day off on a good note. Very upbeat positive vibes.

2: Antidote by Kang Daniel.

Antidote convinced me that I needed to buy Yellow. I love what Kang Daniel is doing with this album so much. 💛

3: One by ASTRO.

Honestly was not expecting a bop from ASTRO I usually expect more love songs from them, but this was very welcome.

4: Atlantis by Shinee.

I liked this song when I first listened to it but I fell in love with it when someone told me that the choreography was a five person arrangement in honour of Jonghyun. I mean, I just. . . 😭💕💕

5: Do Or Do Not by Pentagon.

Such a fun song. I find myself signing along to the chorus and dancing around every time this comes on the playlist. So what I don’t care.

6: Film Out by BTS.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! My man Jungkook was amazing in this song. “Whao ooooooo” sends shivers through me. I LOVE this song so much.

7: Side By Side by The8.

This another song I can’t help sing along to.

8: The Moon by Moon Sujin (Ft. Taeil of Nct).

Such a beautiful song. Moon Sujin and Taeil’s voices sound perfect together. The harmonizing is phenomenal to my ears. I hope they collaborate again in the future.

9: Mafia In The Morning by Itzy.

I have been listening to this song for the past two days NON-STOP and probably know the whole thing by heart. So happy I bought this album and can not wait for it arrive.

10: ASAP by Stay C.

ASAP has convinced me that I must now Stan Stay C. 💖
