The father of David Kirby, a gay right activist, comforting his son as he died from AIDS, 1989. This image is widely considered the photo that changed the face of AIDS. At a time when AIDS victims were often dehumanised, this photo showed AIDS victims as human beings with families and lives of their own.

Letter from cartoonist Alfred Joseph Frueh to his wife Giuliette Fanciulli, sent on Jan. 10th, 1913. The letter opens up to form a model of a gallery hung with paintings. Frueh made this model to inform his wife about the details of a specific art gallery before her visit.
