The euphoric relief I have felt since she moved out is unreal! Not hearing her voice through her bedroom. Not seeing her in the kitchen. Like I cannot stress enough how funny it is that Terry just claimed the identity of Batman entirely on his own. Like it’s a whole thing that Barbara Gordon believes Bruce had to have manipulated Terry in some way, wrangled him into either new Batman. And the whole point is that she’s wrong, Terry wrangled Bruce into being his guy in the chair.
Bruce Wayne became Batman because he was traumatized by witnessing the violent death of his parents at a young age. He spent his entire childhood training with the best of the best of the best, hoping to create a myth who’s very name strikes fear into the hearts of criminals so no child has to suffer like he did. It is such a consuming presence in his psyche it’s literally what he calls himself in his own mind.
