Had the craving for authentic Amritsari Kulchas for so long. The last I had was at a Sardarji's nice little cozy dhaba in Bharuch. We used to visit that place often as it was near my college. The kulchas we had there were very tasty and the taste still lingers in my mouth. So my search for this yummy food took me to Oye Teri situated at 10 mins walking distance from Borivali station west. It's a small hotel serving punjabi food. Their specialty is in Kulchas. They serve different varieties of kulchas like Amritsari, Paneer, Plain Alu, Alu pyaz etc. They also have Chocolate Walnut Kucha which was surprising. You get unlimited serving of chole and chutney which is made of Tamarind water, onion, coriander leaves and spring onions. We ordered khichiya Papad Churi in starters. It was good. Spicy Khichiya papad served with mint and curd chutney. For mains we ordered Amritsari Kulcha, Plain Aloo Kulcha and Aloo Cheese Capsicum Kulcha. The masalas in the kulchas were balanced with right amount of ingredients. There is generous amount of butter on the kulchas, which is well, expected as kulchas cannot be imagined without butter. Buttermilk here is served in view which resembles the alcohol bottle, they called it Bollywood Chhaas 😄, We enjoyed our food and were full and contended at the end of the meal. Must visit place if you want to try authentic food. My next visit for having authentic Amritsari kucha is a very famous joint called Sainath dhaba situated in Chembur. . . . .
