However faint it was, Laven could admit they were
interested in the words the girl before them spoke. Such a
thing wasn’t something they had heard of before —– While
certainly, dragons were a thing that existed to their know-
ledge, they hadn’t thought of such a beast having the ability
to take over the body of a human… Or anything remotely
humanoid. Though, magic was a mysterious thing, some-
thing that could change at the flick of a wris t and do so
many things beyond the imagination. Considering the girl’s
words, she had decided to do so for such a selfless reason…
But they couldn’t really say she was a fool for doing so
considering that Laven was a changed person… A person
with friends and understood the desire of wanting to
protect them, even if it meant sacrificing yourself to do it.
Once upon a time they wouldn’t have, but they had changed.
They could certainly understand– At least to a certain
degree– a person with two souls in one body. After all,
they had a companion that lived in a very similar way,
allowing the other to take over with powerful abilities
in the case they needed to protect themselves, fight,
or they just didn’t want to deal with things themselves
anymore.
This was mainly the reason why the blonde didn’t even
bat an eyelash when the personality of the other seemed
to change, having seen this countless times happen to
their friend Angel.
“I understand the situation now.” Now it was their turn,
they supposed.
Gaze lowered to the mark on their hand, seeming to
almost study it for a moment before exhaling softly.
“I am what people call a ‘Wood Elf Mage’.” They
started. “We are a race of people that are one with
nature, possessing the ability to control the earth
around us as we so please with our magic —–
The mark on my hand is commonly referred to as
‘Yggdra’s Halo’. It is a mark all of us have to show
we are of ‘Wood Elf’ lineage, though it’s more ironic
than anything else…”
Haruka stood there and listened carefully to what the other
had to say. It was definitely not often that she would run into those
with ‘magic’ capabilities. True, in her past, she had met psychics
and even a man who could reverse the effectiveness of elements, but
this was something different than the others.
Despite the differences, Haruka herself felt as if the other had just
given her a hidden opportunity. Her problem was vastly different than
his so-called gift but just the thought of somebody being one with
something and having the ability to control it was fascinating. The
dragon, however, had other thoughts about it.
The trainer herself couldn’t voice her opinion but words still
managed to be said.
‘‘ it seems like your favoured by somebody . .
but I feel like there is some sort of catch to
your abilities . you say its ironic ? how so ? ’’
