Sports fans are so dramatic. On an unrelated note, if my team loses this game, I’m going to strap hundreds of fireworks to my body and launch myself into space.

I guess they're not wrong....
“If we win, that’s successful. If we get beat up, that’s, to me, not very successful.”
— Terry Francona (via gotribe)
“‘Indians’ is at worst offensive and at best complicated. Our world — and our country, in particular — is complicated enough. Sports teams, at their best, are a blissful diversion from all of that. We don’t need their names to be flash points in the culture wars. When I look at the name and logo of the Rocket City Trash Pandas, I have many, many questions. But none of them are, ‘Is this racist?’ So that’s comforting.”

The Cleveland Spiders.
Yeah, we need to change the name. When I was 9 or 10, I was against changing the name, but I was also a kid who bought the Louis Sockalexis story hook, line, and sinker. I’ve grown up and (hopefully) learned more since then. It’s a racist moniker that should be discarded. Plus, I like the mock ups of logos for Cleveland Spiders.

can’t wait to experience happiness (watching my sports teams) again
Today In 1993: Texas Rangers outfielder Jose Canseco has a fly ball bounce off his head and over the wall at Cleveland Stadium for a home run in one of the all-time greatest baseball bloopers!
I miss baseball so much. Its crazy how much something so seemingly small in my life has such a big impact. I mean during the season watching games every night becomes part of my day to day routine and it makes me so happy and comfortable. I miss it.
you know what,,, i’ll just say it,,,, running a sports blog is a lil more challenging when there are no sports
