As Long As You Need Me

Love is a slow, winding pathway to the astral plains of madness. I want to light up every hidden smile while you study the creases of my soul: an unknown, bittersweet flame. You silence every rumination like air, and I suddenly forget every sadness that has defined the urn of my past. I feel lost in time, sewing the fabric of my own body - drifting seamlessly into nothing and everything all at once. The tangled mess of our beating hearts is an ambiguity that I want to hold onto. You make me feel more loved with just a single, silent look than I ever did with a million rough kisses on an empty bed. I could never understand the miles that you have walked alone in this world. But, I know that I have searched and read every book on the law of attraction - and the answer is still you. I’ll be as patient as a dew drop on a leaf and as soft as a drizzle on an autumn day.
