Hi. As much as possible, I don’t want to mix personal stuff with this blog but the Simblr community is one of the most generous communities I know so I’m putting this out here. We, Filipinos, particularly those in Cagayan Valley (it’s my mother’s hometown so we have families there as well), desperately need your help right now. 

Cagayan Valley’s municipalities sank underwater following  the opening of Magat Dam, which had to release excess water due to the heavy rains brought by Typhoon Ulysses. Thousands are now stranded on the roofs of their houses and are in need of urgent assistance. The Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (where I work), together with its private sector partners, are calling for cash and in-kind donations in order to bring aid to affected communities.

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

Search and rescue teams

Food

Drinking Water

Vitamins and medicine

Clothes

Air assets

Water purifications machines
